My mother loves this A-Line 80s throwback dress. She wore it to church and said it was one of the most comfortable dresses she’s worn in a long time. STYLE/CONSTRUCTION The A-Line swing with the high standing puffy shoulder design is a nod to the evening dresses of the 80’s (think Dallas’ Linda Gray /Dynasty’s Joan Collins) that exudes femininity. I honestly think this is a cut that most people will look good wearing. The drawback is there are areas of the dress that appear to be stitched too tight or in a way that makes the material gather instead of laying smooth, especially around the arms and shoulder. MATERIAL/ZIPPER I am not a fan of polyester, especially at this level because it does not breathe. But my senior-aged mother loved it because it was comfortable, warm, and complimented her body type. The zipper is cheap, and I had to help her zip and unzip it because it kept getting stuck. I am not certain if it was getting caught on tape or if it is an issue with the chain. LAUNDRY When I got the dress, I washed it on a gently cycle and line dried it. There were no issues with color fading or shrinkage. With a few tweaks this dress would have been a hit. I would not order it for a special occasion. But for the price, it is not bad just to have it on hand.

The material is very soft and a bit thicker than many other similar dresses. It feels really good on the skin and is very comfortable. The V neck is cut fairly modestly and has a hidden snap to help keep the cut a little more modest. The dress flows nicely and flatters the body by how it fits. The wrapped look around the bust line is beautifully done and looks sleek. The material is a bit stretchy and lays flat nicely along the curves of the body. The length is just right for a night on the town. The only issue with this dress is that the shoulders are imported from the 1980’s. I don’t know if the world is ready for this style of shoulder/sleeve quite yet. Other than that, this is very beautiful, and I love how it looks.

This dress looks just as they presented it. I ordered the gray dress and I was not disappointed. The dress can be dressed up to look simi formal or dressed down to a more casual look. I tried it both ways with a black leather jacket on and some booties as well as with high heels and an added belt to dazzle it up some. The quality of the dress is better then I had expected and is not to thin that you can see through it but it also isn't too thick so a shaper underneath is helpful. It stretches well on the body as I ordered the XL and it compliments all the right places without leaving me to feel overly snugged.

Wow - this is not what I expected at all. The shape of the dress is cute and it's better quality than I was expecting, but it is made of swimsuit/ice skater/shiny 80s spandex material. With black tights it gives full Mrs. Claus vibes. It looks ok in pictures and from a distance, but the fabric is very shiny and odd in person. I would pass on this one unless you are using it as a base costume for Mrs. Claus on ice.

Not gonna lie—I totally felt like I was on handmaid’s tale wearing this. The listing picture looks nice and I know it says vintage, but there’s something about that green color that really just gives an “under his eye” feel, from the show Handmaiden’s Tale. My husband even jokingly said, “get me some water.” The fabric is OK. It feels and looks like regular polyester, and I don’t really like that. There’s an extra button towards the top to close off the cleavage. It’s some thing that my tailor does for me when my clothes don’t fit. It’s OK if you wanna close off the cleavage, but because it’s a plastic button there, it just doesn’t look as premium quality as you may want. I think this dress is good for costume wear.

This dress is very stylish and a perfect fit for me. The medium weight material feels great and it washed up beautifully in a cold water wash and hung to dry. There were some slight wrinkles that i removed in a warm dryer for about 5 minutes. For me, the puffy sleeves are just a bit much. They look nice but I’m just not comfortable with them. They are really high and puffy with a very slender sleeve. I think this dress would have been perfect with just a slender sleeve. The bodice is also a perfect fit for me. The wrap is very comfortable and flattering. I’m 5’3” and weigh 130lbs. I think this dress would flatter any figure. It’s really a beautiful dress. I think you just have to decide if you like the look of the sleeves or not.
