This is Sadie. She was a very quiet puppy and never barked. We discovered her voice the same time she did. It's loud and very shrill. I tried devices that you pressed a remote every time she barked to try to stop her from barking. It worked as long as you kept it in your hand 24/7. You can't do that. And you can't run and find the device and correct her 5 minutes after she barked. By then she wouldn't even realize what she had done. This was my 3rd try. It was very frustrating figuring out how to attach the collar to the device. I would suggest that you have that already done to make it easier for the buyer. Her first bark with the collar on sounded the alarm and it scared her and she ran across the room. She did not tremble with fear. After that happening a few more times, she realized that her barking was setting it off. Only one time did she bark repeatedly. That sounded the alarm which she expected, but something else happened after that. I'm guessing an unexpected vibration because it startled her but she did not whimpered in any kind of pain. But she did stop barking. When we have company she usually screeches with delight for 5+ minutes (it's deafening) before she settles down and she is jumping all over our friends. Last weekend family came that she is always excited to see. She barked once when she heard their car. Her collar beeped and she didn't bark again. They came in the door and she just patiently sat about 10 ft from the door and waited for them to come see her. She did not jump all over them. She has a habit of having to go with me to the bathroom. If I would hurry and close the door behind me, she would run down the hall barking all the way until she entered the 2nd door of the bathroom. Well, that's another lesson well-learned. Now, when I close the door behind me, she silently runs down the hall to join me. I would definitely recommend this collar to anyone who has barking issues that need to be corrected quickly. ... show more

    • Great bark collar
We have a morkie who loves to use his voice, but the rest of us are not as enthusiastic about it so I thought a collar would be helpful in communicating that he doesn’t need to use his voice quite so loudly to get his point across. This collar fit that need perfectly. The 2 different beep sounds are almost as loud as his bark so that took some getting used to for us, but he is not a fan of the nose competition and has decided to submit to its tone. A few times he has forgotten it is there and happily barked only to be reminded that the collar will yell at him. It’s been 2 days and my home is so much less noisy. Only down side is that if the collar is not snug it doesn’t beep; however, I do love that he is not punished when his much bigger brother decided a to speak his mind as labs often do. ... show more

I hated to have to go this route, but our dog would not quit barking for absolutely no reason. She's well past old enough to know not to do it, but just decided she likes the sound of herself apparently. This collar has been just the trick to get her to stop...and in just a few short days as well. That could be because she knows better or it could be because it actually works!! This was much needed for our pups training. We live in a townhome community with parking lots surrounding our windows so people walking by people starting their car or slamming their car doors sometimes fighting or screaming and it would set him off. Using for my small Maltese that barks constantly! It makes a loud beeping sound then a buzz. I can use the shock but there is no reason to. After 2-3 buzzes she stops the second she hears the beeping sound! It’s truly a lifesaver. My neighbors were beginning to complain about the constant and annoying barking. Purchased two of these for my dogs who happen to be very loud when meeting someone new. The two try to our bark each other and it was getting out of control. We set them on the exact same setting and have been happy with the results. The both respond great, and the alarm is very audible over the barking. We choose not to use the other correction settings and were able to put the included rubber nubs over the prongs. ... show more

We live in a subdivision but have a weird shape back yard span invisible fence doesn’t work. Well we got this collar and just watched and hit the sound when they got to close to leaving the yard and it worked!! They now stay in our yard and it worked almost 1/3 acre away 😱 so worth the money!!

I bought this for my dog who barks A lot. He also likes to grab shoes or random items when he gets very excited. I don't necessarily intend to shock him but the fact that this one has a vibration and sound mode is enough for my dog. I would recommend this product with 5 stars!
