I attempted to order a pair of Clarks Keating sandals, that I had previously purchased several times through Amazon, but they were no longer available. So I took a chance on these Dockers simply because they looked similar to the Clarks Keating ones I'd worn for many years. These Dockers sandals exceeded my expectations. They are very sturdy, comfortable and they fit perfectly. I'm extremely satisfied with them and they are $20 less expensive than the Clarks Keating ones I had been buying.

Beautiful, well-made, sturdy shoe, and the price is right. BUT: good luck getting it on and off. The photos do not show that there is only one velcro strap that opens, from the side. It combines the side and a little bit to open the top. It's hard to explain. It would be OK if you have small feet and can both bend over to reach the foot, bending your knee, to work the sandal onto your foot. But if that's not you, think twice. Also the sandal that was my size fit so exactly, I could not get my foot into it. So you might order a larger size if you want to try them. I had to return these, and get a different style.

First, I want to agree with others that the sizing may be a little tighter than other brands. That said I ordered a 9W when I normally where an 8W or 9 standard. I ordered the bigger size to fit over a toe brace I need to wear and while it does fit, I can't get a sock on with the brace, or it is just too tight a fit. So, if you think you need a wide you may want to go for extra-wide. That aside these are very well made, and comfortable. I have seen others claim to have struggles putting them on, but they work fine for me even when sliding the foot with a brace in I have little struggle slipping my foot in and pulling the strap up. And these are wonderful for hiking/walking. I took them on a trip to Garden of the Gods and around Balanced Rock it is a bit of a hike up rocky terrain with tall ledges and steep terrain you have to walk up and down to get to the actual site and these things were as sure footed as a mountain goat. I don't think I have ever worn a shoe that felt so glued to the terrain giving me optimal balance and support for moving around that rocky steep terrain. And that was really a great benefit since I was with my 4 and 6 y/o kids and had to hold them up when they slipped more than once while I never had any worry about slipping myself. So, if you want a pair of hiking sandals at a reasonable price you can't go wrong here.
