This is my second pair of Dockers shoes. I've had my first pair of Dockers dress shoes for about ten years and been happy with them. I couldn't find any Dockers shoes at my favorite local stores, so I tried Amazon and found several sources. Nashville Shoes on Amazon listed many varieties of Dockers, and I found what I wanted in an everyday walking shoe at a great price. After receiving the Dockers shoes, I wasn't happy with the arch support for my foot, but added a simple arch support insert and is very comfy to wear. Dockers has great quality leather and craftsmanship!

*update 12-29-2020* after several months of use these shoes started to have the the sole separate from the upper leather part. Used some loctite "flexible adhesive" to re glue the soles to the rest of the shoe and they are good as new. Like I said in my first review, I work in a welding shop and these shoes have seen some pretty heavy use and have held up. Granted, you shouldn't have to re glue your shoes together but the use I have put these shoes through is probably NOT what they were designed for and they have still held up. Will be purchasing again when my first pair finally give up. Great looking shoe. After reading older reviews I ordered a half size small but that was too small. Ordered my typical size and shoe fit great. I work in a welding shop but hate typical work boots so I usually go with oxford type shoes. I have no doubt these shoes will hold up great and provide great comfort even in a harsh environment like a welding shop. The shipper was great to work with. First pair I ordered were damaged in transit so I reordered. Accidentally canceled that order so had to order again, that pair was too small so I returned them and re-re-reordered the correct size lol. Both pairs that actually made it to me arrived within the guaranteed 2 day shipping time.

I have been wearing different styles of Dockers shoes to work for years, I always get a black and a brown. I did the same with this shoe replacement of my old set of shoes. I have never had this style of Dockers before, and first impression was they are built very well. I also purchased them because they are not made in China. The leather is thick and good quality, the color is good, rare a matte finish. I wore them to work and first day i was ready to return them, they were sooooo uncomfortable, made my foot, arch and even legs hurt. I got home and pulled the insole out to see that they have zero arch support vs my old style shoe. They are thin, and flat with no cushion. putting a couple paper towels in the shoe is this insole does for you. So your basically walking on a thick hard rubber sole and you feel every bump and with no support it makes it worse. Well, considering i really like the look of the shoe, and felt the rest of the shoe was constructed so well it would last me a long time, I bought some insole upgrades. I tried a couple different ones but found the perfect ones for this shoe. Now I can wear them all day long and not even notice they are on, no discomfort. The insoles are called Hermans Survivors Heavy Duty boot insole. So if you dont mind paying 10 bucks more for a better insole, these are great shoes.

I've had this shoe 2 1/2 years now. I've worn it to work M-F since then. I used them as on outdoor hiking shoe for a few months, and have also worn them on casual dates. Shoes still look great (polish with water proof solution a few times), the soles are in good shape. This was a great purchase, and with the current reduced price, and even better buy. As mentioned in my September 2019 review, I would update my review after Winter. This shoe has proven to be waterproof. In fact, not only do I wear it to work (business casual), but I go out wearing it in the evenings, as well as hike in it and wash the car in it. So yes, in my opinion it now deserves a 5. I would give this shoe a 5, but the weight is slightly more then anticipated. If the weight means it's a better shoe in the cold, wet weather, I'll revise my rating. It's a lot better looking then I expected. The color is just right, stylish looking top. If it was for the treaded sole, it would easily look good as a casual date shoe. Overall, I'm very pleased. Update after the Winter season.

I wanted a pair of winter weather shoes to wear with jeans or Docker type trousers. My first choice was the Timberland squall canyon, but at order time Amazon only had a size 10 and it was $50 higher than the Docker shoe. Also, the buyer reviews were slightly higher. Over the last twenty some years I have owned five pair of Timberlands, two mid height hiking boots, one pair of ankle high hiking shoes, and two pair of leather casual leather shoes, more rugged than dressy. Each pair I have bought always felt great out of the box and they wear a long time. I still have four pair, donated on of the rugged shoes to church a few years ago in a clothing drive. I have never regretted the Timberland purchases. BTW, did a five mile hike near Roanoke, Va. a week ago in a new pair of Merrills. Ok, but not Timberland "ride" and comfort. These shoes have the exact look I wanted, rugged and durable. I am age 73, and unfortunately these shoes will outlive me. I wish they were not so heavy and were actually comfortable. I have been wearing them quite often for a month, and they simply not as comfortable as the Timberlands I have.

I have worn these shoes for work in an office environment but not on a daily basis. I get home and I take them off. Although these shoes are comfortable and fit right, I am disappointed in the quality. Five months of light use and the tongues on both shoes are separating. The stitching is coming apart. The rubber soles are showing signs of premature wear at the ball of the foot. I expected better quality and workmanship from Dockers. I guess I was wrong or may be I got a bad pair. Either way I will not buy Dockers shoes again.
