Purchased May 2014 I wore these shoes every other day for the first year riding motorcycle. The sole of the shoe laces snapped in the first six months, then the sole separated from the upper which I repraired and last the sole wore threw after about a year. I continued to wear them once a week for the last year. Threw them out June 2016 Pros: I really liked the look of the brownish red shoe. The "leather" stood up well and still look nice; though, I did immediately waterproof it when it arrived and polished them every couple months. Cons: Shoelaces snapped fairly quickly. The sole is glued on and separated. The sole is hollow and will wear through quickly. Recommendation: If these are church shoes or office shoes that you will not walk in, they will be fine. If you want these as shoes to walk in, keep looking. ... show more

I just purchased these shoes for the second time. What I love about these shoes is the quality that you are getting for the price. (I paid $50 for 10 1/2 Wide). In the past, I had paid for high quality expensive shoes (I consider $150 expensive), but they always showed signs of significant wear within a year, so I figured it wasn't worth it, as I didn't want to repeatedly pay for shoes that weren't going to last. However, I ran into the problem of finding lower cost dress shoes that were comfortable, especially under $100. So, that's why I love these. They are very comfortable and look professional enough for work. Maybe if I was an investment banker, I would need better quality shoes. But, if I was an investment banker, I could afford better quality shoes. For my middle management job where I am making enough bucks just to get by, and everyone at work knows it, these are just fine. ... show more

I basically wore out a black pair and a brown pair over 5-6 years, so I decided just to buy another pair because I know how well they are made! These are my husband's go-to black shoes for work or anything "dressy." In fact, we are now on our second pair of them. When they start looking a little rough, I just take some black shoe polish to the leather and they get going for another round, just about as good as new. They fit as expected, and the first pair held up for over a year before we threw in the towel and bought new ones.
