  • Handsome Shoes!
Size: 10.5 Color: Black
They are great looking, comfortable, and durable. They work well for casual or dress wear.

  • Great shoe, but soles wear out too quickly!
I am currently wearing my second pair of these shoes. They are super comfortable and the uppers super tough. However, the soles wear out much too quickly. I walk a lot and find the soles are "shot" in about six months. I took the first pair to a shoe shop for re-soling but they wanted 55 dollars so it was cheaper to get a new pair of shoes. Also, the laces do not last but that is easily fixed. I think the shoes look great, a bit shiny at first but after a while the shine goes away and they look fantastic. Good shoes with khaki pants for office work and good shoes to wear with shorts for walking. They are indeed the most comfortable and lightest shoes I have ever worn! Sorry about the soles, though. If the soles were better I would give these shoes a rating of five stars. ... show more

  • Best Everyday Shoe Ever!
Size: 11 Color: Dark Tan
I purchased my first pair of Dockers Glacial Oxfords more than 15-years ago, when it was available from a nationally known major Dept store. I bought a pair every year, the first couple of years, and then transitioned to buying 2 pair when they were on sale. I had to, because these are arguably the best shoe I've ever owned, and I wear them almost everyday. The shoes are very comfortable to wear, and their soles are made for walking on every street surface imaginable. Here in NYC, that's important. The soles of the shoes are thick, but not heavy. I have found that these shoes protect my feet when I'm walking on uneven pavement & sidewalk cracks, or over even over small objects likes pebbles. Best of all, they are great to wear in the summer when the sidewalks are blistering hot, or cold as ice in the winter. Your feet won't know the difference. In a casual setting, these shoes are definitely good looking. Resoling these shoes are not a cost-effective option, which is why I buy 2 pair when they're on sale. I highly recommend these Dockers shoes, because in my opinion, they are "the best shoes ever"! ... show more

  • Fits good and comfortable
Size: 9 Wide Color: Black
After trying 3 different brands, these fit good, comfortable and price is pretty good. Hopefully they'll last over a year like the last pair of Rockports.

  • Good Sturdy Shoe
Size: 13 Wide Color: Black
Exactly what I wanted for northern New England winter. Nice looking upper with thick sturdy sole and aggressive tread. Surprisingly good on ice as well as snow. Comfortable for hours of wear. The shoes are a little heavy, but I like that for winter.

  • Good Fit and Comfortable
Size: 10.5 Color: Dark Tan
Dockers seems to make good fitting shoes. I've owned one other pair, which was a Fly Weight casual before I got these, and they were a nice fitting shoe. I wanted a little more heavy duty shoe when I ordered these and they seem to fit the bill. I ordered my regular shoe size which is a 10.5 medium, and these fit with no problem. Just the right amount of room at the toe and comfortable all the way around. Good leather upper with oil resistant sole, and the dark tan color looks good. For the quality these shoes were priced very reasonable. ... show more

  • Disappointed
Size: 10 Color: Dark Tan
I own a pair of Dockers Glacier Oxfords that I purchased several years ago. I own a few pairs of shoes and I switch off so they tend to last a long time. The Glaciers I already have are starting to look a little ragged. I was very happy with them; they wore well and remain comfortable. The new pair I just purchased, while looking identical from a distance, are really a cheap imitation of the originals. Holding one of the old ones in one hand and a new one in the other, the new shoes are noticeably lighter. A check under the tongue of each reveals that the original shoes had genuine leather uppers but the new shoes are leather and man-made uppers. The product description doesn't clarify this but in Amazon's defense, the Dockers Shoes website states "Genuine full grain leather uppers". See https://www.dockersshoes.com/products/dockers-glacier-casual-oxford. Like a number of reviewers have stated, the leather doesn't feel real anywhere on the shoe. I think that the vamp (the part that covers the foot from the toe to where the laces start) might be leather. I gave it the fingernail scratch test and it did leave a very faint mark that I could rub away; vinyl won't show a mark. Construction is OK; I did spot one defect along the side of the left shoe where, if the shoe is held at just the right angle, it looks like there's some backing material sticking out. This cannot be seen while their being worn; you either need to be an ant or hold the shoe up in your hand. The sole is also different from the originals. The pattern is the same but the material on the new shoes is softer. Unlike several reviewers, the shoes didn't squeal when I walked. When comparing the old and new shoes' soles side by side, the old ones have a Dockers logo in blue just before the heel. The new ones don't have this. It's too early to say how the soles will wear but, like some other reviewers, the heel is "shredding" material at the back. The original shoes never did this so I don't have high hopes for the longevity of the new ones. The new shoes are comfortable if a little stiff; I can't remember if the originals were the same when new. One or two people mentioned one shoe being a little bigger then the other. In my case, the right shoe feels slightly bigger but I've noticed over the past couple of years that most of my shoes, and my sneakers, show the same phenomenon so either every manufacturer is making the right shoe bigger (or the left smaller) or my right foot is just a little bit smaller than the left. Overall, I am disappointed with the shoes; it's quite obvious that Dockers' quality has gone down. It's been a long time since I bought a new pair of shoes so maybe this is normal in this price range. ... show more
