I am very happy with this pole. I needed the 30' pole to wash windows and reach cobwebs. And it works very well. The quality is good. The pole is beefy. It has multiple levers that you can easily move to expand or retract sections of the pole. So each lever is to extend an additional section. This design makes it much more compact for the less tall locations. To address some reviews that describe the pole as "HEAVY" - well, the 30' pole is heavy and beefy, no doubt. But that's what I wanted. I have another pole that is much lighter, but it's way too flimsy for the type of work that I need to do. It takes some practice when fully extended for the 30' reach, but once you get a system down, it's not bad. I feel like this thing is going to hold up over time. I also like the variety of attachments, although I really only need the window washing and cobweb attachment.

Review Update October 2020 This set does the job as advertised. It has long extensions that are relatively easy to slide in and out while locking in place. I used the yellow microfiber material brush, pre-wet a solar panel, then simply slid the brush over the surface of the solar panel. I did not use soap. After running the brush over a panel I then washed it down with the hose. The difference between a washed and brushed panel was cleaner than a panel that was just washed with the hose. I suppose it would depend on what kind of dirt was on the panel. In our case it was ash from California fires. The downside is I'm 74 years old and with the pole extended about 20 total feet it was quite heavy for me and difficult to use. This is not so much the fault of the kit but rather the limited access I have in relation to the solar panels. I'm unwilling to get up onto the roof and a large aluminum patio cover restricts access to the panels. I'm going to ask one of my sons to finish the job. I was able to clean about 1/2 of the 20 panels. Were I willing to get up onto the roof I would have easily been able to do the whole job. With the pole extended it can be heavy. Initial Review: October 2020 We've had our solar system for almost 3 years. Occasionally they get dirty from pollen or ash from fires. In all cases I've been able to wash the 20 panels by standing on a 6' ladder and just using the hose to wash them. The most recent time the panels were dirtier than ever before and I'm not sure the simple approach really got them clean. I'm not about to go up on the roof at my age so I ordered this set. I was surprised at the quality of the extension pole which is stronger than I expected. The length of the pole should allow me to reach more than 75% of the panels. The attachments are of the correct shape and material so they will do the job without damaging the panels. I've already used the extension pole to clean a small window high in our kitchen that we were not able to reach after several years in this house.

The pole arrived yesterday and I immediately unpacked it, assembled it, which was very easy, and got to work on my 1 1/2 and 2 story windows. I'v been waiting to get those done. The product performed as needed, but like other reviews, I found it a little hard to handle on the second story windows. There's a learning curve here, folks! It's heavy, and the squeegee has to be at the correct angle to get the glass wiped dry. The squeegees included in this kit are good quality. I know from experience that it's 'all in the squeegee work'. If you ever watch a professional, they start in the upper corner, go across the top of the glass, then swirl back and forth on the glass until they reach the bottom. This avoids streaks and they don't have to wipe the squeegee between passes because they aren't stopping and starting. Clearly that's not possible with this set up the way it is designed. This is 'top to bottom' only. You could adjust the head to go side to side, but the same problem develops as you are starting and stopping, which gives you a streak. It is helpful to wipe the squeegee rubber between each pass, this avoids streaks between the passes, but after a couple times of trying to bring that head down to wipe it off that got old and my arms got tired. I'm almost 70 so this wasn't that much fun. BUT, I did get them done and am very pleased with how the windows looked. My upper story windows haven't been done in several years now because of the height. I was going to hire it done this year but decided to give this product a try first, and I'm glad I did. I won't let things go so long next time. This tool will allow me to get them done each year at least! The sun room windows look crystal clear. That's the 1.5 story windows and they do get done every year. Overall I am pleased with this product and will use it again. I might have one of the kids come over to give me a hand handling the long pole when it's extended almost fully for the second story. Or, have them in the open window and have them wipe the rubber off between swipes so I don't have to lower the pole between wipes. That would work too! Overall I am pleased with this product, it's pretty sturdy, but not indestructible, the head is plastic after all, so I will handle it with care and enjoy the clean windows and the brilliant fall color shining through them!
