I got these because they have some at my toddler’s daycare and he is ALWAYS playing with them when I pick him up. I love how there are different tiles within the squares, with windows and openings, makes it easy to create houses/buildings. I wish the magnets were a *tiny* bit stronger so my son could pick up the planes we build to play with them. We have a different kind of magnet toy that he can easily fly around the room with the ships we build, but these are really only good for builds that sit in one place to be played with, like houses.

We love our magnet tiles so much, that we have started buoying them as gifts for people! They are so diverse from the pattern loving child to the future architect. They do take some concentration for toddlers so they are good for patience and hand and eye coordination. I like these set because of how easily they hook and stay together. I also love the variety of colors and shapes. This is great for your house or to give as a gift!!

Why didn't we have magnetic toys when our kids were kids?! Our grandkids love them! Like Tinker Toys or Legos, these tiles let your kids use their imaginations to create things easily and while having loads of fun.

The media could not be loaded. Our 7-year-old grandson LOVES magnetic tiles and plays with them for hours on end at Grandma's house. I decided to add another set to those he already has. This set works perfectly with his other sets. In fact, this set would combine with *most* other magnetic tile sets, but I have found two that will not work with these: MagnaTiles don't work and there's another type of block that have magnets attached to the OUTSIDE of the tiles instead of being embedded within the plastic. Neither of those will combine with this set. Overall, this is a good little starter set for your child. About half of the pieces are simple squares, which are the base of many creations. The other half are either triangles or squares with cutout shapes in the center. NOTE: the photos in the seller's description area are VERY deceptive. They show far, far more blocks than you will get in this particular set. To see what you will actually receive, please watch my video. The only thing about this set I'm not keen on is the strength of the magnets. They seem to be *slightly* weaker than the other sets we have. The "comb" shaped blocks, in particular, have very weak magnets. The other pieces are just slightly weaker than I expected. I am able to dangle a horizontal chain of four squares without any pieces breaking loose, but if you add a fifth piece, the magnets cannot hold the chain together and they will all fall. This 42-piece starter set is a pretty good value. Just be sure to check the video to understand what you will actually receive.

This set comes with a nice variety of shapes: 20 plain squares, 2 door shaped squares, 2 window squares, 8 equilateral triangles, 6 right angle triangles, 2 large triangles, and 2 'E' shaped pieces. The square pieces are 3 inch sides. The corners are nice and smooth. The tiles have clear transparent colors and strong magnets. Great starter set for magnetic tiles. I have to knock it down to 4 stars though for the creative book. There are only 3 2D ideas and of the 14 3D models shown only 1 can be made with a single set of tiles. The rest need at least two sets of tiles. I would have liked a few more 2D ideas and more 3D models that can be made with only one set of tiles.
