After putting together a few different miniature book end/book nook kits, it is very clear this set is much more sturdy. The components are created from a plybirch (?) and have a thickness to them to create depth. They are a little harder to punch out, as you need a x-acto knife, but it is worth it! It does lend to a slightly blockier look compared to the paper, so it is personal preference. The light kit is not operating as it should, but it is not a deal-breaker for me. Will purchase another from this brand!

Building this bookend was so much fun. It was time consuming, but in the end it was worth it. The only downside to it is the wood broke really easily. Luckily, only a few pieces broke and now you cannot even tell that some of it is broken. It makes an excellent bookend and it adds so much to my bookcase. I will defiantly buy more. It was also really relaxing to build.

Having assembled a few of these from different manufacturers, I am very familiar with these kits. This kit however, came with some of the cut-out pages misaligned when they went thru the printer and the designs are not on the cut-outs themselves. This renders all the pieces on that page unusable and the kit can not be completed. There is no way to contact the seller to get a replacement sheet and the only option thru Amazon to "Return and Replace" - meaning I'd have to send the now partially assembled kit back to Amazon and wait for a replacement kit and start over. Hoping, of course, the replacement did not have the same problem.

Great until I opened the lighting stuff and the sodder that connects the battery box to the light sensor was broken off. Now I have a half made nook that won't light up. Kind of upset about it that's why only 4 stars

I bought this for a family activity for the holiday break. We’ve done another similar book nook and the kids had so much fun we ordered another. The lighting component gets tricky for children, so adult supervision is recommended. The final product is a beautiful shelf filler.

I have never done something like this but I was just in love with the aesthetic so I went for it. Man is it tedious, I did not really enjoy putting it together but I bet there are people who are into that stuff. I didn't have any issues getting everything together or any other problems other than adhd. :D Overall I totally recommend this, it is a very cool decoration and or project you may want to share with someone else.
