  • Disney Piano Music
I enjoy playing the piano and I also enjoy Disney music. This book combines both of those things. It also allows me to practice my sight reading and sharpen my piano skills.

  • Beautiful! But not super classical.
I love all the songs in this book, but not all songs are very classical sounding. Definetly not disappointed in the quality of the music and the design of the book, but was hoping for more of a classical feel to all of the music.

  • A mixed bag...
Writing a review for this book is going to be a trick. It would almost be easier to review each song/ arrangement instead. As a whole, I'm a little disappointed in the book, but there are some nice moments. I see a few reviews here saying the arrangements are too simple for advanced players. I guess I'm not an advanced player (after 20 years of lessons and 10 years of practicing on my own) because there are pieces of this I find challenging to play musically. There are some running parts that are awkward to play, 2 and 3 octave jumps in a beat or less, and some harmony lines that move so much it is easy to completely lose the melody. Nothing impossible, but parts of it are just awkward and could have been improved upon. I was hoping for something more like a sheet music version of HI Ho Mozart or something similar, with much more "classical arrangement" and much less "piano arrangement" (at least 3 songs even have the lyrics printed in). I'll keep it and keep throwing myself at the parts I find challenging, but if I'd had a chance to play through before buying, I probably would have continued looking for something different. Do you ever get the feeling piano music was arranged by a computer, rather than a person who actually plays piano? That's kind of what much of this feels like. Technically playable but not quite right. That's what most of this feels like to me. ... show more

  • The arrangements aren't as interesting as I'd hoped for.
The arrangements are fair. Not as interesting as I'd hoped for, but still overall okay. I was hoping to find some arrangements that were more advanced, but could find any so settled on this compilation.

  • Surprised, not as creative as I thought it would be.
I was kind of surprised. The scores are not as creative as I thought they would be and for what I was looking for which is a creative take on the melody, just going on Musescore seems to be better. I was expecting something more magical from the piano interpretation of an album that was full of really creative orchestral music. Like, the Beauty and the Beast arrangement is a type of fugue based off of a very monotone irrelevant chord and Go the Distance has this type of fugue almost where it is constantly playing between two notes in a chord that it swaps between that repeats itself before it moves on to the next same type of chord and it just did not sound very creative and came off with the tempo like it was just piano jibberish. With how much money Disney has you would think they could try a lot harder so much more than they do, but that is Disney in the year 2022, close to the end of its life. ... show more

  • No classical tonality just popular music style
Recommend Jim Brickman Disney, disney jazz piano solos and classical Disney by Keveren. Chords are too bland with mediocre tonality in most pieces. Intermediate level...
