I bought this in the size my 10 month old is currently in (18-24). He was able to wear his pjs under but not 2 pair. I tried doubling up on a colder day and he looked extremely buff to say the least. Lol. Though most people wash their kiddos clothes before putting it on them, I wouldn't recommend it. The color fades soooooo much it's disappointing. Since he was gonna have clothes on under, I didn't wash for our first few events but upon getting food on it, I washed it and it looked so dingy afterwards. I washed this as soon as I got it so I could put it on my baby for Halloween. It faded so much after washing it just one time, but it didn't fall apart so that's good! And he looked so cute, especially with the hood up and with the tail. This is a onsie but it was made of a soft fabric, not a typical costume material. So it worked perfectly for our little man who was in a baby bjorn for most of the night. Had it not faded so much I could have given it 5 stars. It was dark out anyway so in the end it didn't matter. This was a little expensive in my opinion but it worked great for our Disney themed family Halloween dress up. My husband dressed as prince charming, I dressed as Cinderella, my daughter was dressed as a belle, and my two-year-old son dressed as the beast using this costume. It was a little small on him because they did not have it in size 2T available so I bought the 18-24 month and it was a little short, b it totally still worked. I purchased the 18 to 24 months size of this costume because the 2T was out of stock and I was desperate for a beast costume that my two-year-old would willingly wear for trick-or-treating. My child is upper-middle size on the growth curve, but not terribly big/tall for his age (just over 2 years). I was pleased to see that when we tried it on him it zipped up easily and the inseam and shoulders still had a little bit of room in them, which will be good when I surely have to put extra layers underneath of him for a chilly northeast trick-or-treat night. This was one of the few Beast onesies that I could find. It did the trick with my 1 month old but it felt like the shirt portion of the costume was printed longer than it should be. It faded with the first wash so beware. Hood didn't stay up very well but the tail was super cute. I would recommend it if you just need a baby beast costume and don't want to spend too much! The overall fit of this is nice. My little guy is 10 months old. He weighs about 24 pounds and is almost 30 inches long and there was plenty of room in the belly area. When it first arrived it was very stiff and smelled weird so I washed it and afterwards the black on the pants portion looked washed out. I didn’t mind too much just because he’s only going to wear the outfit once but it was a little disappointing. He got quite a few compliments on it. ... show more
