It reminded me of the cheap costumes I bought for my kids 20 years ago. I wore it twice and it ripped on the side. It fit a little loose, so not sure why it would rip. Headpiece was comfortable, but I wasn't a fan of the "look" of it.

I’m 5 ft tall, 120-130 lbs, 28.5 in waist, 38in hips, & 35in bust. I bought this in Small and Medium because my measurements are between sizes. I ended up keeping the medium and sending the small back - I’m wearing the medium in the pic and just under garments underneath as it was fairly warm when I wore this so it’s still flattering and hugs my waist even though I kept the larger size. I could fit into the small but squeezing the cinched waist over my hips was pretty tight. I’m also short so the length was perfect for me. It is a thin material but I prefer that for costumes since u can always put base layers underneath if u need more warmth. Also I saw others complaining about the open armpits in the costume and it’s not at all noticeable unless you take a pic from the side or back with your arms up which I understand is a completely plausible pose for this costume. I actually like the open armpits because it keeps you cool if you’re in a warm space and you can put a black shirt underneath if you’re in a cold space. Also, the cap that came with it was fine but I didn’t want to wear something over my ears so I found a headband instead and I’ll just have the option of the full cap or headband depending on temperature. Oddly, the quality of the small size costume was not as good as the medium. The shoulder details didn’t stand up at all on the small but with a couple of safety pins the shoulder details on the medium were perfect. Also the placement of the skull on the chest of the costume was really low on the small but perfect on the medium. It’s attached with a small piece of Velcro so the placement is easily fixed with a little more Velcro but luckily I didn’t have to do that on the medium. I’m sure the shoulder details could be fixed with some wire if you’re a little crafty and get one that’s been smooshed like the small one that I got. Overall I’m VERY pleased with this costume especially the medium that I kept. If I had kept the small and had to make a lot more adjustments to it then I might’ve given fewer stars but it worked out well for me with the medium this time so I’m completely satisfied. The shoulders do not stand up at all like in the picture but lay flat - going to have to get pipe cleaners or something to see if that helps. The brooch was missing from the order and it had definitely been used and I wanted new so be warned! Size is as expected. I left Halloween costumes off to the last minute this year because of illness, and my husband made me promise I wouldn't kill myself trying to make three costumes in a week. I decided to buy one off of Amazon for myself. I was a little worried based on other reviews about sizing and that the head piece would be terrible, so I also ordered Maleficent Deluxe Costume Headpiece by elope just in case. It turns out I needn't have bothered; the Deluxe Headpiece didn't fit me, but the one that came with this costume was just right. Mine arrived in great condition too. As for the sizing of the dress itself, I had no trouble getting it on. I typically wear a size 4, and this was loose enough on me that I'm sure a size 6 could wear it too. (But at the same time it wasn't baggy on me either.) The flared neck wouldn't stay up on one side, but I was able to easily fix that with adhesive velcro. I wasn't a huge fan of how the decorative "stone" was attached (a small adhesive velcro pad, so it wobbled around a bit), but for one night this was just fine. I wore leggings and boots underneath to keep warmer. I probably would've also worn a black LS shirt underneath too because of the open arm holes, but I didn't have one with a low enough neck line to stay hidden. I would highly recommend Disguise Women's Disney Maleficent Movie Maleficent Deluxe Glowing Staff to complete the look. It might be flimsy, but everyone thought that the glowing orb was really neat. I also got the Disguise Women's Disney Maleficent Movie Maleficent Accessory Kit to keep my hands warmer, but they didn't add as much to the costume as the staff did. All in all I was pleased with this purchase, even if I am still a little sad I didn't have the chance to make my own. ... show more

The points on the shoulders would not stay up. The little silver skull had velcro on the bottom and would not stay on the outfit, I ended up gluing it on the outfit. Outfit was snug around the hips but fit well everywhere else. Horns are fiber fill, but worked fir what I wanted.
