Suitable for children who weigh between 40 and 120 lbs. (18.1 - 50kg) and whose height is between 38 to 63 inches (96.5 cm - 160cm) or approx. 4 - 12 years. The 7-Position adjustable headrest can be set at different heights and altered using the handle on the back of the seat. The ergonomic design also includes extra padding and side impact protection, so as your little one grows they will always be both comfortable and secure. As a truly adaptable car seat, Everett has a variety of installation options and can be used with or without the rigid latch connectors. Parents can use the vehicle seatbelt following our intuitive seat belt guides or alternatively install the seat using the integrated latch connectors that anchor the seat to the car, while allowing the child to buckle themselves in with the vehicle seatbelt. Weighing only 8.9lb Everett's super light and allows you to move the seat between vehicles with ease. We've even included a pocket for your Dione instruction booklet, so you can keep it in a safe place, ready for when you need to adjust the car seat As your little one grows. Our textile designers have crafted soft, comfortable fabrics with added support cushions that contour around the shape of your little one. We've also included padded armrests for extra snugness. Due to Everett's wide-ranging age span, the covering fabrics have been lovingly engineered with durable Textiles. All the best adventures get messy, that's why Everett fabrics are machine washable, so you can simply remove the cover, wash and refit with a single zip. After tons of research, we finally settled on the Diono Everett NXT for our 8yr old’s booster seat. We’ve had three Diono Radians, and have always been impressed with the quality and comfort of the car seats. However, when I unboxed the Everett, I was completely disappointed. While super easy to assemble and install, it is SERIOUSLY lacking in the comfort department. There is NO padding/foam under the fabric of the backrest, and minimal padding on the seat. We love to travel, and we just can’t see our daughter being comfortable in this seat for long drives. It’s definitely not what you’d expect from a $160 booster seat. Sorry, Diono. You really missed the mark on this one. I’ll be returning this product. ... show more

    • Rattles incessantly. Listening to it rattle while you drive is worse than being water boarded.

I don't know what it is about the way this chair is designed, but whether there is a child sitting in it or not it RATTLES. EVERY. SECOND. YOUR. CAR. IS. MOVING. With a child in it, it rattles slightly less and is slightly muffled, but it rattles none the less. Driving down the road? RATTLE. Sitting idle at a stoplight? RATTLE. Parked, engine off, no movement? silence. Until the wind blows and then RATTLE. If incessant rattling in your car doesn't bother you, then I am sure the rest of the features are a wonderful selling point and you will be blissfully in love with the safety and security that this chair provides. But if the constant, mind grating, water torture of RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE every second of every drive sounds like it would be Hell on earth... skip it. Buy something else. I'm surprised that I have had the restraint not to just leave this stupid seat on the side of a road somewhere when my wife wasn't looking. ... show more

Finally at the age of 6 I decided it was time to transition my only child out of her 5 point harness. Our old Recaro SHOULD have served this purpose as well; while it was amazing in the 5 point harness set up, it quickly turned in to a nightmare in the seat belt set up. The Diono is narrow enough at the base to make clipping in the seat belt a cinch, the headrest is easy to adjust. It didn't come with tethers but the seat holds on to the shoulder belt so that the seat stays in place when my daughter isn't in it. We took it on its maiden voyage today, 2 miles to school, and my daughter said she likes it. If anything changes, I'll update this review. As of now, I plan on purchasing a second seat. Diono, it you are reading this, could you offer some more feminine colors? Or may aqua? Update: hour in the car today and daughter was content. She is able To operate the seatbelt rather easily and clip herself in correctly. Just ordered two more! ... show more

We’ve had this seat for about a year now. Bought it for our car while living abroad, and brought it back to the USA with us this summer. While the seat was fine going no more than 35mph and max of 30 minutes ride time in Japan, it’s not suitable for higher speeds and longer trips back in the US. The seat just overall feels “cheap”. The thing rattles constantly, and just doesn’t feel sturdy enough for high speeds. In addition, my child Complains that it hurts her back and bottom when she’s in it for more than a quick trip. Overall... if you live in the city and need a seat to toss in cab, or a quick school drop off it’s fine. However if you drive for any period of time, it’s worth upgrading. ... show more

I have 2 maxi cosi rodifix boosters which I love. I was sad to see these were not made anymore and I wanted a lower profile, but full booster, that could fit in a 991.1 Porsche 911. This seat is excellent. Great support, and my kids actually like it better than the rodifix because it has little are rests. It can also convert into just a booster base as well. ... show more

I liked a lot about this seat -- it's very narrow, which worked great in our car. It didn't obstruct the buckle and my 6-year-old could fasten it himself. We ultimately returned it, though. The belt path is several inches into the "wings" of the head surround, and pulled the belt up into his neck. We could not get it to lay across his collarbone unless we adjusted the headrest down, but that pushed on his shoulders and he couldn't sit up straight. I even called Diono directly; they advised that the belt path is optional and you can put the belt between the body and the head surround, so long as the belt lies correctly, but this let the belt slip off his shoulder. Some of this may be the setup of our vehicle, but it just didn't work for us. The "flaws" are that the belt path is too far back into the head surround, and the body is too short for some kids. My kid is on the taller side, but still in the average range for a 6-year-old. We ended up getting the Graco RightGuide backless, which is also narrow. I was really bummed because he falls asleep on longer rides and I wanted the head support, but the Diono wouldn't have been a safe fit for him. ... show more

Awesome car seat! So sturdy and comfortable! You take a gamble because you aren't there to see a display one, but this car seat is great. I felt a few the same price where the seat part isn't barely padded! No kid is gonna wanna sit in a car seat like that their butt will get sore from the hard plastic underneath. This carseat is very padded and comfortable for my son. Also, i like that the head rest adjusts securely. Its not flimsy and does weigh a good bit. My oldest sons booster is so clumsy compared to this seat I'm so mad i paid the same price and this seat is a thousand times better. Amazing for the price! ... show more
