Well, we got these about 3 weeks ago and I do have to say that my daughter has used them at least 5 days a week. The strap buckle came apart yesterday (others mentioned this happening too) but we were able to squeeze it back into place with pliers. The boot is sewn into the plastic underneath and that string has come apart already so I had to super glue the boot to the side so it didnt come apart more. I would expect all of this to happen with normal wear and tear in about a years time, not 3 weeks. So, I doubt these will last a year. I researched a lot and I just dont think there are any on Amazon that are worth much. UPDATE: a few weeks later and the wheels are splitting apart and the brake is gone. 47 days and they look like they are 247 days old. Over $50 and I am already replacing parts.... bummer. Nothing made to last anymore. Wouldn't buy these again, but honestly cant really find anything that looks better. ... show more

We’ve owned these for little over a month. My son wore these only a few times, the wheel fell off, I was able to screw it back on. But the boots are lifting from the wheels. I am disappointed and these blades were a waste of money! I will note he is a first time blazer and fell a lot. The media could not be loaded. My 5 years old son loves it since he opened the box right away when the package arrived. This is his first time to try the skate shoes on. He loves the lights and shoes’ length can be adjusted. Hope he can learn how to skate soon!

Looked used with scrapes and oil spots on them. Attempted to do a return but my local store didn’t have the right size for my son. I ended up gifting him these. They actually work well and they light up with rolling movement which my son loves. He’s nine and wears a 5, I wear a 9 in ladies and can extend these to fit me. I really wish I could’ve given him a new pair but I was in a jam and ordered these last minute. 1 star b/c my boy uses them & they work. Another b/c he likes them and thinks they look super cool. No more stars b/c I received a set that was clearly used, returned and resold. I know this happens but I don’t want to have it be noticeable... ... show more

I used to compete in aggressive inline competitions with $400 skates so I know quality when I see it. These are fantastic. The wheels that come with these are really good quality, have great traction and a nice quality rubber kind of feel, and the skates themselves look awesome. That's one of my biggest concerns when buying skates...the wheels. When I was a kid, most of the time skates would come with these really cheapo plasticky feeling wheels that would slip dangerously at the first smooth surface you came across. Neighbor busted his teeth on my grandmother's driveway and they sued us and won somehow (we built a fenced in, gated driveway afterwards). The wheels feel like they're going to be both very durable as well as very grippy. The bearings the skates come with are also stellar. I would compete with bearings only one grade higher in quality, but honestly these would have been fine. Might even be a bit too fast for a kiddo just learning, but I'd rather have that than crap bearings that make it difficult in different ways and limiting of future performance. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My son is very happy! He loves how they fit too which was something I was worried about. He is 8 and wears a size 5.5 in regular shoes. His feet our wider and it's always challenging to find a good pair of tennis shoes. I decided to buy some online hoping it would fit and he had no complaints at the skating rink today after 3 hours of skating. He was extremely satisfied. He loves how the wheels light up too. Bought for 8 year old daughter b-day present. First pair of blades; previously used rollar skates. These were a big hit! Easy to get on, tie and strap. Colors are nice and she loves the light up wheels. Easy transition for her and great quality purchase!
