In my opinion, these are exactly what overalls should be. They’re super durable, work-wear functional and practical, roomy enough to breathe, and relatively inexpensive considering all of these attributes. I got hickory stripe because they happened to be the cheapest variety at the time of purchase. I get jokes from my wife, kids, and neighbors about looking like a train conductor, but I’m a middle aged man who doesn’t care if he looks like a circa 1940’s cartoon train conductor while working in the garage or around the yard. Looking like a cartoon character saved me somewhere between 5 and 12 bucks…so joke’s on them! That being said, if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing, the hickory stripe really is a magnet for stone breaking, so you might want to keep that in mind. Overall perfection! ... show more

    • Great overalls, but very long legs!

I'm a 38x32 and that's the size I ordered and, according to the label, the size I got. The legs are insanely long. I have to cuff them to wear these overalls. Luckily, cuffed legs is a reasonable look for overalls so it all works out and I still get to wear these otherwise great overalls. Maybe I'll get around to hemming them one day. Or maybe I'll just keep cuffing them. In any case, maybe try ordering one inseam size down? ... show more

I chuckle because my overall wearing husband is most comfortable in them vs regular pants with a belt. When we needed some 'nice' overalls for "Sunday go to meeting", I saw these and thought, "heck, we'll give them a try!" They arrived, nicely black and at first glance, perfect for a nice occasion than yard work. We opened them and they are much more canvas, than denim. Don't get me wrong...they're great for all the yard work, hard work, etc. but a little stiff for nicer outings. Maybe I'm asking too much for dressier overalls, but these are some excellent pants for every occasion other than nicer overalls. These are great but they are workwear so the fabric has no give. The waist fits but above the waist where my belly is fits a little snug because of the side buttons. But the size above is way too big.

These are great fit, well just a little long in the length of the legs. I wear a 32/30 jeans I ordered these in a 30/30 and they are just a little bit to long. But the waist fits good and they are very comfortable. I would suggest washing them once you know they fit as they are stiff when you get them. ... show more

I bought this to make clown overalls and i used red pom poms at first with the original black and white pinstrip scheme, but for actual halloween i dyed it orange using RIT dye and it came out perfect!

    • Long and Loose fitting

These are a great fit in the waist and true to waist size, but surprisingly long in the inseam and loose fitting in the seat, thighs and legs. I’m not sure why they’re so baggy and long. Otherwise the they’re sturdy and the quality expected from Dickies brand.

Some other reviews mentioned how the legs are massive and practically can fit tree trunks in em..they weren’t kidding lol. These Overalls are overalls and can’t complain tho. They fit good and look like a hillbilly as expected.
