Great quality, looks really nice and is pretty easy to put together. There aren't any instructions, but if you have the slightest handyman inclination, you'll be fine. A word to the wise: Use Loctite or this will eventually loosen up. This doesn't come with any lock washers on the main support bolt. Also, mine was protruding about 1.5" to far, so I took a dremel and cut the the main bolt down. Easy peasy. ... show more

    • This is an excellent tow hook bracket mount
This is an excellent tow hook bracket mount. There are two lengths of adapter for varying bumper depths, and I used the shorter of the two on my Mini. The unit sits maybe 2 inches forward of the bumper, and the 8 mounting points allow flexibility for getting your plate in any orientation you like. It was quick and easy to install, and the only additional tool I used was an adjustable wrench to hold the lock nuts while I used the supplied allen wrench to tighten the supplied bolts through the plate. On each of the fasteners, including both sides of the adapter (the threads into the tow hook receiver and the threads from the mounting bracket into the adapter), I used some hydro-phobic bicycle grease to keep water out of the threads and prevent corrosion. The unit is secure once installed and comes out nicely with just the adjustable wrench. 10/10 would recommend. ... show more

    • Weak Hardware
This item is good but could be better if they (the manufacturer) would use more sturdy hardware. The plate, once it is installed; it spins, and it is weak. It is held by a 1/4 Phillip screw. Behind the plate the bolt is 7/8 so, it is pretty strong but plate-7/8 bolt is 1/4” bolt that is rather weak

    • Can save you $100 for installing front license plate
I recently moved to a new state required front license plate, this one is a great solution so you don't have to spend much many for installation in case you don't have the plate holder in front. It's really cheap, the only thing I'm not totally sactisfy is that it's little bit too much left in front of the car. The distance between the front bumper and the license plate is like several cms which is too much. ... show more

Glad others had good experiences. I did not. No instructions, so I screwed it into the tow hook. Then I tried to attach the plate to the piece. It turns out the screw is too long if you take out the extra nut (that might be a jam nut, but seems like just extra parts). I tried tightening the screw into the backing plate, and it stripped at the same time the piece fell out of the car -- apparently the threads on the part are very, very weak and I actually stripped them when I screwed the part into the car by hand, before I even tried tightening it with a wrench. ... show more

I like that the install was a perfect fit for my E90 328i series. The install was very easy. Very happy that I don't have to mess up the front bumper. Looks great.

    • Works good. Easy fix if you have a tap.
2001 325ci. Works fine. No sensors to worry about and I have the M3 style aftermarket bumper. I did buy a returned one. The plate screw wouldn't go all the way down. A M6X1.0 tap took care of that. The manufacturer isn't pushing thread thru the hole all the way but an easy fix with a tap. Saved $6 off the normal price for 3 minutes of effort. ... show more
