I purchased these for cold days as a base layer prior to a disneyland trip. And in case you're wondering the high was 56 that day. Im bald and always cold. I saw the reviews and picked a set up. I wear them all the time now during the colder months. soft not much compression where they look funny under a t shirt, and most importantly, they keep me warm. I'm 6', 165 lbs, 41" chest, 33" waist, and wear a 16-34 dress shirt- a normal male athletic build. I've been looking for some low-cost base-layers and bought both the Devops and Thermajohn. Both brands run extremely small, but basically match their size chart- go up one size unless you want it to fit a sock. I typically wear a large shirt and ended up with an XXL in both brands; this is insane, because I'm not that big - and they're missing out on the vast majority of potential American customers by not having larger sizes. Yes, I realize that these are supposed to be a "compression" shirt, but... The Devops uses a superior design and construction vs Thermajohn- see pics (both are XXL): a more substantial collar, superior flat-seam sewing, and a better design integrating the sleeves to not have the seam on the top of the shoulder. Overall, the sizing is very similar between the two brands, except for the arms on the Devops being too short. They are just barely long enough for me when I stand, but during normal arm movement they rise up several inches, because of the snug fit, and drive me nuts. I really want to keep the Devop's shirts because they're "nicer" than the Thermajohn's, but I may end up returning them due to the sleeve length. The torsos on both are cut for someone 6'6"+, they cover my butt, and the arms are cut for someone ~6'. The Thermajohn arms are about an inch longer than necessary on me, but they don't rise up during movement. ... show more

The fit was true to size for me. I ordered a medium and am about 5'10, around 180lbs. Very comfortable, warm lining but not super thick, which is what I wanted. Though it's a tight fit on my arms, it stretches naturally. Tried it out under a sweatshirt during my weekly soccer game that takes place at night, around 43 degrees, and it was a huge help. These shirts were a nice soft material that was able to keep me keep the moisture off my body while working out indoors and playing airsoft outdoors, definitely would recommend this two pack or even the four as a heavy sweater these do get wet overtime and having a backup is always nice to have.
