  • If you need to learn Design for Additive Manufacturing, start with this book!
There are lots of good books out now on additive manufacturing and 3D printing, but this is by far the best one that I have found on Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM). From the start, the author focuses on why DFAM is so important - it drives the cost curves for additively manufacturing products. While that may sound obvious, no other books address it so directly and clearly and show how this cost curve shifts for various DFAM approaches. Detailed examples from the author's research and practical applications of the technology are also presented, bringing fresh images and ideas to the field. I applaud the author on a great publication that will certainly help move additive manufacturing forward in the years to come. -Tim Simpson, Professor, Penn State University ... show more
