Had to return the first pair as the stitching wasn't right. Shoe is pretty true to size but runs a little narrow for my feet. The color is a great compromise between a tan and brown if you only want to purchase one pair of shoes. Leather is very soft. All in all nice shoes.

U.S. Size 8 corresponds to 8.5, i.e. is half a size larger in my opinion. Worked better for me actually. This shoe is all genuine leather, outside and inside, super comfortable, warm in freezing temps, extremely breathable. Highly recommend.

Bought these shoes because of the good reviews. I was looking for a stylish enough shoe that I could use every day in the office. I wanted something that I could use and abuse but that would hold up and retain some integrity. When I received these shoes they had a scuff that could not be corrected by Sapphire Leather Condition which makes me question the quality of these shoes or the coat that is placed on them. I have been unable to touch up the leather since it was received. I am unsure whether these shoes are low quality across the board or whether this was a defective product, however, I am sure that these were not the shoes that I wanted. These shoes I received were certainly NOT a good value for the money. I never had much of a chance to wear these shoes since I figured I would likely return them due to the scuff. ... show more

I'm going to review these shoes by saying what they are not, and then what they are. Then whether they are a good value or not. What they are not: They're not a pair of $5K bespoke from London. They're not a pair of good quality (i..e. Allen Edmonds, Alden, etc) shoes from a reputable shoemaker, They're not made with a Goodyear welt or Blake stitch meaning once the soles are worn, these are done. What they are: They're (the uppers) made with genuine leather. They're comfortable for the most part. They're a good looking pair of shoes. They're a classic closed toe, balmoral for less than $70. Value will depend on its purpose. If you are looking to replace your high quality (aforementioned) shoe with these, then this may not be for you. If you usually don't wear dress shoes and you're looking for a presentable pair for a rare occasion (wedding, funeral, job interview) this is perfect. For me, I'm on my feet constantly walking across a school campus which could wear on a nicer quality pair of shoes. So these are perfect for me to look nice in and I don't mind grinding them down. I invest in conditioner and polish so I keep a good shine on these while saving my nicer shoes for special occasions and meetings with the high ups. ... show more

This is my first time ordering shoes without trying them on at the store. I did have a similar style pair of shoes and after a number of years, it was time to replace them. Since this was going to be my daily work shoes, not only would they need to be comfortable and durable, they should look good without being flashy. Initially, I was concerned they might have been slightly too small but after wearing if for a week, the leather stretched (to be expected) and now the fit is perfect and comfortable. On average, I wear these shoes three or four times a week. Generally, especially if I make international trips, I wear them for 8 - 10 hours. The corners by the heel are rounded and do not bite into my ankles or skin. On two occasions, the exterior of the shoe had a scuff mark which was easily removed with routine polishing and cleaning. The only criteria that is yet to be determined is durability. Since this is still early, only time will answer the question about durability. Overall, I really like this pair of shoes. ... show more
