I have a hard time finding petite sizes in local stores. Only one place stocks the Democracy brand, and I have purchased several pairs in various colors over the past few years. Recently I went looking for black ones, and had no luck, so was delighted to find them on Amazon. I am 5'2", and the hem hits the middle of my ankle bone. I like the straight legs, which aren't at all tight, but aren't baggy either. The color is a true dark black that didn't run the first time I washed them in cool water. Fabric is soft, with just a wee bit of stretch. The "Ab Solution" waistband is extremely comfortable, and one of the best features of this brand. The jeans look good with both tucked in and not tucked in tops, and they can be dressed up or down. One of the few clothes brands that has maintained excellent quality over the years. I just wish I could find them more readily in stores, because these cost a bit more on Amazon that I normally pay for them. Still, the price is well worth it. Highly recommend. ... show more

I LOVE these jeans! They fit great, they’re super comfortable and have a nice give without being too stretchy. They’ve washed well and are the most comfortable and best fitting jeans I’ve ever owned! I got the petite size 8 but given I’m 4’11” I did have to hem them up but only by about an inch! That was a first because most other petites I’ve had to take up more! And the waist fits beautifully without the usual gap I get in the back. I never find myself having to hoist them up! I love the Democracy brand. It's my 3rd pair I own. For reference I am 5'1, 220 and ordered sz 2 in the white. There's some stretch to them and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable and soft. The length is also nice as they hit right at my shoes, however, I can wear them also like a capri style as I can roll them up twice. I like the fact that I can wear them either way. These jeans are not this color at all - they are a darker color more grey blue with fading on the front. I am going to keep since they are comfortable - fit in the waist a little baggy in the legs.

LOVE the fit but the blue has the markings that are just a smidge strange. They’re on the photos so it wasn’t a surprise, but once you see them in person, it wasn’t appealing. Button was also not the easiest. It’s a bummer bc the feel and fit of the jeans were amazing.

These jeans are loyal to me even after gaining 10 lbs, yes they fit much better when I'm at my previous weight but I was suprised that they still did their thing and no button was popped 😬 because they are very fitted for reference I'm 5'4 , they fit well at 136 and still fine at 146. I'm about 140 and looking forward to seeing them on my 132 figure I will say that I was told a couple times at least that they looked like they were made for me. I love the fit but am not that into the color/fade and distressed look. also wearing the size 4 over say 140 fit how I'm built was pushing it and the zipper isn't nice and straight, so definitely go for the 6 if you are a 30 waist. ... show more
