I've purchased 2 pairs of Democracy Jeans at our local Bealls store-one size 6, one size 8. They are both fit great, wash great and I love them. We are planning a motorcycle trip and I wanted another pair of jeans, so I chose to find these on Amazon. I was a little nervous about sizing, though. The first pair I ordered were 8 longs. They were too long and too big, but I've been dieting, so I didn't mind returning them for a smaller size. I exchanged for a 6 regular. The jeans I received (ordered in Blue Vintage) were much more distressed than shown in the picture, especially on the leg. Be aware if that is important to you. Otherwise they fit great and are comfortable.

This is my second pair of Democracy Ab Solution Straight Leg Jeans. They fit well and my favorite part is that they don't stretch out - I can wear them several times before having to was them. I'm about 5' 7" and 200lbs and ordered a size 16. I do have a waist and larger legs. These work very well for me! ... show more

I got a pair a few years ago at Marshals and they became my absolute favorite. Then they got too old to wear, so I decided to find them here and I’m sooo happy I did! The elastic band in the back holds them in place all day long, and that’s exactly what makes them so comfortable. Also, the fabric is stretchy, so you have room to move. I got a size 2 (I usually wear a 4 or M in everything, for reference) and the size 2 was right for me. I will say though, I *think* the fabric from the pants I got a few years back, was a bit thicker, but it’s still an excellent pair of jeans. Highly recommended. I’m planning to buy a second pair because I use these for work every day, so I want to have a second pair to rotate them. I forgot to mention, I’m 5’4 and these were kind of long for my legs. Not a big problem for me because I like to roll them up, but if you’re my hight, you might have to consider this before buying. The color is a deep blue, making them wearable for casual and more elegant occasions depending on how you style them. ... show more
