I loved these pants when I first put them on. I’m usually a tight size 28/6. I purchased these in a 6 and they fit perfect at first. After a few hours they began to stretch in the waist and I was constantly pulling them up. They are so comfortable and looked so good when I first put them on, I’m going to purchase a size smaller. I have one of those ugly long butts and these jeans make it appear more round and like a decent looking butt. I know skinny jeans/jeggings are out but I’m finding it difficult to wear the jeans I wore in the 90’s now that I’m older than my mom was during that era. I think if you love stretch comfort, skinny jeans, and you find your perfect size you will enjoy them. They are inexpensive compared to most of the jeans I own. These are high rise but not boob high (too high). I did have to order a second pair because the first pair had a weird white stripe in the right thigh area due to poor dyeing. Although, I kept those for lounge jeans. Don’t expect super, high quality, last a decade jeans. These are not it. Love these! The tummy control is perfect (although the tag does rub a little but it’s not too bad). Length wise it’s great for my rainy commute into the office but shows cute socks still! Sorry no pics but these look cute with ankle boots, chucks and work slip ons!

I used to love Democracy jeans. Their ab-solution meant that these jeans fit like no other. I didn't even need to wear a belt with these jeans. I was in love! So, what's the problem you may ask? The thighs. The thighs are the problem. These jeans are cheaply made. I don't think any pair of democracy jeans has lasted me more than a year. They usually fail in 6-9 months. Like clock work, these jeans always wear out in the thighs. I end up with giant holes in these jeans between my thighs, and the jeans effectively become unwearable. This isn't a one off either. It has happened to every pair of democracy jeans that I have owned, and I've owned at least 10 pairs. My advice: If you're a curvy plus sized lady, buy your jeans from Torrid. I've had my Torrid jeans for a year, and I see no signs of thigh wearing whatsoever. ... show more
