I am so impressed with these towels. Super quality and beautiful. I washed and dried them before using, and they shed a bit, but nothing bad. I got two of these to put in my beach bag. Because they thinner than traditional towels, they roll up to a much smaller size, leaving more room for other things, like sunblock, lunch containers, etc. They are perfect on a chair or lounge, at the pool or beach. Definately recommend!

I wanted to wait and use these for a few weeks before reviewing them to see if I had any issues. I soaked them for 24 hours in the bathtub as per the instructions, before washing and drying as usual. They were soft and absorbent right from the start. The size is both good and not so good. Good because it's nice and large and easy to wrap around my plus sized body. Not so good because I'm 5'2" and the tassels baaaaarely start to hit the floor when I'm drying off and get wet on the shower floor, but my 6' husband doesn't have that trouble at all. They're just a little weird to get used to at first, being so thin, but I like them a lot, would 100% buy again.

I got this to replace a much older one from a different company, and found out that this company is SO MUCH BETTER!!! Worth the price in every way. I didn’t realize there was such a difference between brands, if I knew I would have got this first. Now you know!! Don’t buy the cheaper ones! I missed years of this better one, lol. I followed the tip for soaking first, and right away after the first wash and line dry the towel was thick, soft and luxurious feeling. The color and weaving pattern is also really lovely.

I had been bombarded on social media with ads for two Turkish cotton towel companies. But they were SO expensive that I shopped on Amazon to find a cheaper alternative. These are great! I am generally a use-once-and-wash person, although my husband uses his towel for repeated dryings. With these, I can use them more than once and they don't feel stiff or "crusty." They absorb well and dry quickly. The colors are vibrant and the towels are beautiful. I came here on Amazon today to buy more, and thought I'd leave a review. Perhaps the pricey towels are better in some ways, but since I don't really go to the beach, or have picnics or whatever, I really just needed bath towels, and these are great. And I love the bigger size than terry cloth towels. I did wash multiple times at first, once with vinegar, to avoid the lint (of which there was a LOT) but now they are fine. UPDATE: I ordered the white-beige towels, which have less dye, and I find them to be lint-y-er than the colored towels I have. I washed them the same, but they are still a bit pill-y. Other than that, they are the same.

It’s a cute towel, but more like a beach spread or light blanket. I read other reviews before buying, and I expected good absorption. Looking back at reviews, I’m copying and pasting someone’s review as it’s exactly my experience: I followed the directions given to “train” the cotton towel to be absorbent. It is not as absorbent as a terrycloth towel. It makes a great beach towel since it dries fast and wraps nicely. Takes up less space in bag. I was hoping to also use it in the bathroom (since it is so soft and nice looking) but it leaves me a bit damp when used indoors: the towel dries the water droplets which is perfect for pool or beach as the sun and air quickly take care of the damp left on skin- but I wouldn’t want to use after shower in the winter when I want to dress immediately afterwards. Love it as a beach towel and small summer travel blanket.

After trying 2 other brands from Amazon (Havuland and Ray Silver) the Demmex is FAR superior! The towels were so soft and cozy right out of the package. I soaked them for 24 hours like the packaging said and then laundered them in cold water, followed by a delicate cycle in the dryer. I have also been looking for Turkish towels that work well for after shower use and these absorbed so much better, compared to the other 2 brands. They feel plush like a traditional towel and absorb on contact - and this was only after one 24-hour soak and one wash! So, they should keep getting softer and more absorbent as I use them. The other towels that I tried (Havuland and Ray Silver) just pushed the water around on my skin and took a long time to absorb, even after soaking and washing multiple times. I think they were a cotton-poly blend, but the Demmex is definitely legit 100% cotton from Turkey and backed up by the certification documentation that comes with each item. I purchased these towels specifically for camping, where I will be using them for showers AND to use at the beach, so they had to work in both situations. (They couldn't just be decorative sarongs with mediocre absorbency, like so many other Turkish towel brands.) These towels have exceeded my expectations and I already placed an order for more. I plan to use these at home, for camping and the beach, because they truly work for all situations. So glad I decided to go with this brand because I am beyond happy with my purchase and would absolutely recommend to anyone else looking for high-quality Turkish towels. (The colors in the photo are sage and orange)
