For any fastpitch player who is younger more or less 14U and down this is a great bat as it is balanced and very forgiving. For the reviews on which I see on here that state that the bat broke or whatever the case may be. Let me first off say that DeMarini stands behind all their products by giving you a one year replacement guaranteed if the bat would break no questions asked. Now the ones who broke the bat #1. What was the temperature outside in which you're using the bat when it broke if the outside temperature is below 40°F especially if the bat is new within the first year I don't care if you're 30 years old or 8 years old the chances of the bat breaking increase by almost 100% just because of the cold temperatures. #2. What was the compression of the core of the ball in which the bad hit when it broke? My guess is you're using a harder core ball which the bat is not intended for and most likely it was also probably cold out so more or less you are asking for the bat to break. #3. Did you follow the instructions on to how to properly break in your bat. More than likely no you did not. I can tell you that personally I have swung this very bat I purchased for my daughter now multiple times after properly following the instructions on how to break it in. I am a 35-year-old male who was collegiate baseball player and for the past 10 years have been coaching girls travel softball teams. On average my bat speed is over 100+mph at contact and not once has this bat gave me any type of indication that it would even think about breaking. I do understand that there is the very far and few between times that DeMarini puts out a bad batch when manufacturing, which is why they give you the one year guarantee. But I would suggest that when you purchase a bat you follow the instructions that are given to you with the bat. IF by chance there is for some reason not instructions on how to properly break in the bat included with the purchase then look it up online. This way you're not running to the internet giving bad reviews on items deterring other people from purchasing one of the best bats they can purchase especially for a newer player. Simply because you couldn't follow the instructions/guidelines of use properly. ... show more

My daughter LOVES her new bat! It has definitely made an improvement with her swing, super light weight but definitely packs a punch. UPDATE: We have only had this bat right at a year and it broke in half tonight! EXTREMELY disappointing to spend over $200 on a bat and have it only last one year! Will not be buying this again. bat has very good pop to it after break in its fire !!! over 2 years with first one and this season with another one and not 1 problem.. ready these reviews it seems ppl don't know how to care for a bat or some maybe breaking them on purpose to get brand new on on warranty... seems fishy to me and the 3 girls on my team that owns these bats..hmmm ... show more
