If I was a teenage girl, I would love this kit. Well, I’m not a teenage girl, and I also love this kit! The first adorable thing is the little faux alligator train case with a silver handle and smooth silver zipper. The case is FULL of makeup. Inside, the case has cheetah print lining. There is a small mirror with a stitched elastic to hold the makeup brushes. It comes with 8 pink handled miniature brushes. They’re not great quality, but they’re adequate. The bristles are soft, full, and they do the job. The shorter handles allow them to fit in the elastic band on the top cover of the train case. There are so many different makeup items in the case. Other than the smaller sized beauty sponge and the brushes, all the makeup contents are full size. The two lip gloss tubes are really pretty. As for the quality of the makeup, they’re decent. They’re not going to be the best quality, but they’re not bad. The 2 lipsticks are fairly dark for me. The concealer looked really light, but it actually matched my skin color. The loose powder is a little pale for me, The eyeshadows are browns and other autumn colors. Because everything comes without one choosing the colors, not everything will match each person’s preference. This makeup set would be great for anyone who loves makeup and want to get an all-inclusive set all at once, not just for teenagers.

Any kit that is designed for beginners on a makeup art journey is going to have its issues. Have to make allowances for that, the quality will usually not be the best. And when the packaging and containers are translated into English I always applaud the person who does all that work. Especially from Chinese, there are so many grammar and sentence arrangement rule differences. But. Google Translate didn't have a good time with these products. Most had the item type translated on them which was very helpful. Ignore all instructions, you can figure that stuff out yourself because it is not great. The box I took a picture of had no item type on it, nothing on the item inside the package, and all the types we could come up with were already accounted for in the case. So helping out the next person, this item is the concealer. The two tubes that are labeled concealer are actually the foundations. Both the concealers and foundations go on smoothly and smell like what they are, great stuff. The smell of every other product was very odd, though. I couldn't test the two eyeshadow pallettes at all. The cases smelled fine, the product itself smelled like old paint. I have heard that those can be set out in the sun to air out but the smell was so bad that I wasn't risking testing it. On the flip side, every other item smelled sweet. The eyeliner and mascara smelled like fruity candy. The eyebrow pencil smelled like the lip products, like spun sugar. The coverage on the lip products was wonderful, and especially the matte liquid product stayed on so well I had to scrub with makeup remover to get it off. That is so lasting stuff. But the smell didn't fade and it was a little too sickeningly sweet for me so I took it off after a few hours. The mascara box showed a nice wand with close bristles for great definition, but the actual product had a wand with enormous gaps. (not the makeup brush style in the picture) So much product glommed onto the lashes that it was a nearly solid mass, so I used the mascara/eyebrow wand in the tool kit to scrape some off and seperate the lashes. The eyeliner is a nice vivid black. The eyeliner applicator is so stiff it is like scraping a plastic handle across the skin, it was dragging and catching on every little eye lid wrinkle. I am hoping it loosens up with time. And the brushes, which is a wonderful idea to include so many types, were so loosely put together that if you tried to pull out the loose bristles shown in the picture their friends came out too. I would suggest trimming, as I did with everyone after the first one, but the bristles fell out as I was testing them out with my own eye shadows. Overall, there is cheap, and then there is "so cheap quality it is not worth even trying". Unfortunately, I have to put this kit in the second category. The laughs as it was tested, the great carrying case, and the lastingness of the lip liquid is not enough to make it worthwhile if the rest of the things end up getting thrown out.

This set has some products in it that I can see being good for a beginner. The metallic eye shadows seem to be good and have a nice pigment but the non-metallic ones seem very chalky. The concealer that came with it was very pale. The lip gloss package says that the glosses were clear but they were reddish toned and not very glossy in my opinion but more of a lip stain/ creamier lipstick (The color and smell of them are great though). The handle on my case was very loose and came off at some point. But I also feel like it comes with plenty of items that would help someone start their makeup journey as far as eye and lip products. The mini brushes were nice as well and would be easy to take on the go. It should suffice as an inexpensive starter kit as long as you buy your own concealer and/or foundation because the one that comes with it definitely isn't for everyone.

This was a perfect starter kit for a teenage girl. The product quality is like 'drug store' items, but it is a sweet set up with the mascara, eye liner, eye shadow palates, foundation and lip sticks. The case is cute and everything has its home. It would be a perfect Christmas gift for a young lady experimenting with makeup.

You get a cute mini briefcase full of generic makeup that requires application of several layers to achieve the proper shade of color! Lip glosses are diluted yet sticky and unbearable to wear after 5 minutes but atleast they are pretty colors I guess lol! The concealers have a peach/yellow tint but the compact actually matches my skin perfectly! I would only order again if I was on a SERIOUS beauty budget!

I got this for my 13 year old niece and she loved it! It has everything to get her started on her makeup journey! The eyeshadow is very pigmented and goes on smoothly. The other products are good quality as well. I would put them on the same level as the good drug store stuff. The case it comes in is also very cute and fits all the makeup perfectly.
