The quality of this bed is great and it perfectly matches his crib that he originally had in his room. The crib is now his baby sisters. I love that the wood stains match! When putting it together, all the holes lined up perfectly and all of the parts screwed together easily using the included tools. A traditional baby/toddler crib mattress works perfectly for this bed. I am looking forward to using this bed for many years to come until it’s time to get my kids loft beds. I was determined at first to buy a bigger, more expensive, “cuter” toddler bed. Then realized that I didn’t need to do all that for a 2.5 year old that, when in all likelihood this bed will end up a “hand me down” to their younger sibling in a couple years. So we decided to go with a more traditional toddler bed and went with Delta because that is the crib brand we had as well. This bed was so easy to out together. It took two of us just about an hour (maybe even less) to get all set up and the crib mattress that we already had for her fit perfectly! We bought the bed/mattress combo since we’re having another baby and are using the new mattress that came with this purchase for the baby on the way and it fits the crib just perfect as well! This bed is sturdy too! I had a feeling it would be since our little has all delta furniture already and this is no different even with the surprisingly quick set up! All in all, if you’re looking for a toddler bed and aren’t wanting something super fancy or trying to spend a bunch of money I would HIGHLY recommend this one. ... show more

This bed looks just like the photos. It’s classic and works well for a boy or a girl. It was pretty easy to put together but did take at least 30 min to assemble. There were a few extra hardware pieces which was nice and the whole bed is pretty sturdy, especially since my 2 year old has already tested its durability by jumping on it. It’s relatively lightweight but still feels substantial. Our crib mattress fits perfectly on it and it sits pretty low to the ground so it’s easy for my son to get in and out of it. ... show more

We have two and my 3 and 5 year old love them. It is a sturdy and safe bed. I am not a tiny woman but I can sit on the side while tucking them in an it hoods up under my weight. I will say it would be wise to have your husband or a friend help you with construction otherwise it could get frustrating.
