I had 5 windows and a very limited budget. I purchased some lovely inexpensive drapes that had only a rod pocket and no pleats. I decided to try this tape to add a more finished touch. Once I figured out the proper layout of the tape and number of pleats needed, it was an easy project. All I did was sew the tape to top of each panel. I added some Dritz four-pronged pleater hooks, and voila... I now have drapes that have an expensive custom look. This tape is easy to use and comes with good instructions. I received the drapery tape and it was literally filthy with a grey-black substance. I might return it but honestly, it isn't work the time. Be wary, the product seemed good enough and well made otherwise.

I really like how stiff these were. I used them for my first time making curtains for my living room. I had really sheer light weight fabric and didn't want the top to sag. I was a bit nervous about whether this tape would work on my sheers to make pleats but it worked great. It was actually kind of fun. Now if I had used heavy fabric, I might not be as positive but I was happy with my results. The pins weren’t hard to get in the channels - once I got the technique right, it went fast. This pleat tape is so cheap/brittle, that the pleating hooks do not stay in the tracks. They poke through the material. I've been making curtains of all kinds using pleat tape since I was a 'tween (1978). Never had a problem like this!

Great at turning blackout rod pocket with back tab curtain panels into drapes. MUCH less expensive than custom or even standard drape panels. There is some work involved with the entire process, but that has nothing to do with the tape. The tape is very easy to sew on. Only thing I think would be a lot easier is if the channels where you put in the hooks were a little wider. Maybe using thinner, or sharp tipped hooks would have eliminated that issue. ... show more
