Description

Founded in 1990 by Mandy Cabot and Peter Kjellerup, Dansko’s mission is to improve the quality of people’s lives through our products, our passion, and our commitment to a better tomorrow. Former horse trainers, Mandy and Peter were traveling in Europe when they found the perfect “barn shoe” – the traditional clog. They returned with suitcases filled with clogs for family and friends, and soon started selling them from the back of their station wagon. Word of the clogs’ comfort traveled quickly, and Dansko (meaning “Danish shoe”) was born.

  • Pair number 3
Size: 9.5-10 Color: Camo
This is my 3rd pair of Dansko and I wish I had found them earlier in my life. My only regret with this pair is they are patent leather. I have still found them comfortable and breathable. My regular shoe size is 9 and these fit well . It takes awhile to get used to the different fit but once you try them you will not go back! I feel they have helped with recovery from knee replacement and back surgery. ... show more

  • Comfortable, Delighted.
Size: 8.5-9 Color: Black Floral
My first pair of Dankos. (why did I wait so long?) I thought though that I ordered too large and was going to return them until I saw the fit instructions on the side of the lid of the box. (That could be put in a more noticeable place). They are great looking, very comfortable and I am very glad I brought them. ... show more

  • Comfy and cute 😍
Size: 6.5-7 Color: Pink Glitter
OMG! This is the best Dansko I have ever owned, and I have 6 pairs. Comfy, soft insole and they're lighter weight than my others. I needed this shoe I. My life, lol. On my feet as a RN 13-14 hours sometimes. Beautiful and comfy. Best of both worlds 🌎 😍

  • Wipe clean & comfortable
Size: 10.5-11 Color: Purple Bloom
I had been going back and forth in my head whether or not to get these shoes. Then a baby peed all over me at work and while I was able to change my clothes I had possibly peepee shoes that I needed to wear the rest of the night. The next day I pulled the trigger and ordered these. Several of my colleagues wear them and one I saw as I left the elevator said to specifically buy the x2 bc they had more cushioning. I have to say the change has been great. I had been wearing brooks ghost for the last year FYI, 3 pairs of them!! And the 3rd pair is starting to show signs of wear. My feet feel fine after a 12hr shift. They aren't as heavy as I feared and I got used to the clog by wearing them around my house a few times before going to work. The extra height is really nice and I love that I can wipe them clean with a grey top wipe if body fluids or other fluids get on them. ... show more

  • AMAZING!!!
For anyone that hasn’t worn Dansko, try them. Initially they can be awkward. You’ll instinctively want to hold on to the front footbed with your toes and try to keep the heel on without the up and down movement of the heel. Don’t. It’s a clog and even though the XP 2.0 is a “full shoe” it’s still a clog and should be walked in them that way. Relax your foot, don’t squeeze your toes to hold on and let the heel “flop” like a clog. The XP 2.0 is amazingly lightweight. Much more so than any others I’ve worn including all of the cute dress shoes. Plus they come in so many fun colors and patterns. I have problems with my pinkie toes and calluses on my heals. When I started a new job that requires 8+ hours on concrete flooring, I knew it was a time for a new pair of Dansko. I still have tons of dress shoes by Dansko but knew they wouldn’t work. I saw great reviews for the new Professional XP 2.0 and decided to try them. I was skeptical about the sizing based on other reviews. In the past I wore a 36 (regular size 6.5). However, I decided to try the 37 because I’d be wearing my new pair with socks. Great idea if I do say so myself. I feel like they are a little too loose in the back but they are perfect otherwise. I have a narrow foot but always wear a medium. These are a tad loose on the sides as well but with the socks they are perfect. Question: should they fit perfect without a sock? If so, mine are too big. With socks my heels are a pinky width too loose (recommended) but the front is perfect. Being a pinky width is what I’ve read is the true fit. Mine were broken in three to four days after receipt but I can’t get the top to loosen up. It’s not painful but irritating because the rest of the clog is perfect. The toe bed, the arch support, everything is exactly what it should be for me except the stubborn top across the center. Does anyone have an idea of how to stretch it? I’d also love to have someone confirm mine truly are the best size. I’m worried the 37 might be too big but I’m more concerned the 36 would be too small. The 37 states it’s a 6.5-7 US shoe size. Some reviews say size up and some down. I plan to keep my 37s but may try the 36 next time when I buy a pair in another fun pattern. All I can say in the end is trust yourself, buy the size that fits your US size and they’ll probably be the right fit (a little loose for the 6.5 but probably perfect for a US 7 both in 37 in EU size). I love mine and will keep buying them as long as Dansko keeps coming up with more comfort and cute, colorful patters. Thank you Dansko! ... show more

  • Beautiful, Sturdy, Long-lasting Well-built Comfort
My other Dansko shoes, while they did not fall apart after 20+ years (of standing, canning, cooking, cleaning, painting, gardening, kitchen tasks, about town), were getting thread bare, scrunched, severely stained and stretched with the heel slightly worn out. They are/were the second oldest shoes I own, but without a doubt the most worn over two decades (yes, that!). I treated myself to some new ones that might have more support, new heels etc. My old ones were discounted at REI and were a size 38, which at the time was a wee big. No matter. I wore them bare and even better, socks in winter. I loved them even though they were a dour grey with some cute stitching to liven them up. These are a 37, fit perfectly almost identical to my old ones and are BEA-U-TI-FUL. I slipped them on immediately after UPS delivered and oh my gosh: heaven! They are so pretty. I realize clogs don't have a lot of s*x appeal, but these are as pretty as they can be. I don't think they are leather (which my other ones were and which I greatly prefer for breathability and conforming to one's foot, but these will stand up pretty well for several years I believe. They are comfortable out of the box! Perfect size (if you are a true-true middle of the road size 7, these will fit). And oh so cute! ... show more

  • It’s all I get for nursing
Size: 8.5-9 Color: Black Waterproof Pullup
I’m in nursing and have tried tennis/ nursing shoes over the years. I switched to these years ago. They are comfortable and durable. I have plantar fasciitis and these have been so good for me. They look great and have such a verity of colors to choose from. I have Amazon Prime so returns are easy. If you’re unsure about fit like I was at first get Prime it’s so worth it for me. ... show more

  • Good support and quality
Size: 6.5-7 Color: Black Patent
Great clog for on the go nurse. I am giving it 4 stars only because it was a little tight over the arch initially but after 2 weeks is fitting better. I have received several compliments. Fits comfortably with compression socks. Great clog and great arch support.
