  • My feet never hurt anymore
I'm on my feet 13-14 hours at a time, rarely sitting for more than 10-15 minutes every few hours. For years I just accepted that my feet would hurt-- and then I tried Dankos. With my first pair I had to get used to them, but they did not hurt my feet, they just felt different. Now with each new pair I can wear them immediately for my entire shift. They usually last about 2 years, then I feel like I need a new pair for the support, as they have molded to my feet too well. The old ones are perfect house and yard shoes... easily slip off/on at the door and are sturdy, so I get years of use out of them. These will add about 2 inches to your height, so I buy the tall scrubs- I'm only 5'5" but everyone thinks I'm tall until I pull my foot out of my shoe and show them I'm short! If you have weak ankles, do not buy these, because you will roll them (this is from my weak-ankled coworkers who have tried them). If you wear joggers style scrubs, you will look like a leprechaun in these, so not a recommended look. But if you have normal, sturdy ankles, do not mind appearing taller, and wear regular scrubs, these are great. ... show more

  • Perfect for the long haul
Best shoes ever! Bar keep and server in a small space and also work a large floor with no complaints. These shoes give me the stamina to keep going and that’s a lot with a 15 hr day!

  • Love at first try!
I have been looking at these for months. Finally splurged and was well worth it! My right foot has so many problems that I needed a wide fit. These are very wide. if you have a narrow foot I do not recommend them but I needed room in the toebox and they are perfect. I’m a 7 1/2 and I got the 7 1/2 to 8 size and the length is perfect so I would say they’re more like an eight then a 7 1/2. I walk about 9 miles a day at work and these with the arch support, are just what I needed. The arch support is high and kind of hard. But they are made very well. ... show more

  • Size Dilemma.
I usually wear an 8, and I was torn between ordering this size or the next size up. I have been wearing Eastland's, but every black pair of Eastland's I purchase eventually gets a large crack in the soul. I was recommended this shoe by someone I work with. She had the next size up and it was way too loose on my foot, so I ordered this size. These were way too tight, maybe they stretch with wear, but I can't wear them and had to return them. They are pretty, clunky but pretty. I wear clunky flats to work every day under black slacks. These are supposed to be really good shoes, and my friend purchased her pair and the "The Walking Place". I think the leather tooling is very pretty, and under a pair of slacks they look very nice. ... show more

  • So comfortable
I like everything about Dansko. They are comfortable all day, right out of the box.

  • Returning-totally uncomfortable
I need a lot of support and cushion for my feet. It is difficult for me to find comfortable shoes. I have been using Sketchers Shape-ups (size 38/8) for the last couple years in clinicals and school because of the thick cushioned sole and support. I wanted to go to a more professional looking shoe vs. tennis shoe. These are a hard construction all around. The toe is very formed and unforgiving-rubs against side/top of large toe, although the toe box is wide and roomy. It does have a good arch support. The overall base support of the shoe through the heel/bottom of shoe is hard and unforgiving-no soft bounce or "cush" in the heel or ball of foot at all. I could never imagine wearing these shoes all day in the clinical setting!! I would end up a patient. Sizing is correct. Just wrong type of shoe for me. My classmate loves hers! Beautiful looking though! I tried to talk myself into them several times! ... show more

  • Best shoes ever
Best clogs ever! I work with horses at a barn that doesn't have many rubber mats on the concrete floor. This aggravates the herniated discs in my back. Whenever I wear these I have no pain. I do all my chores wearing them. They don't fall apart doing stalls, my feet stay dry in rain, 100% nonslip. This is my 4th pair. The oldest pair is about 8-10 years old. Still in terrific shape. Practically look new. I wear these almost every day and do very dirty and hard work in them. Can't say enough about these shoes. Worth every penny. ... show more

  • Pain-free arthritic knees
I have two arthritic knees (osteo) and sciatica in my right hip. Danksos have made it possible for me to be pain free all day. They aren't for everyone, but I am a "stomping" walker type so they take the shock better than any other shoe I've tried, including high-impact running sneakers. In fact, I was late for a dinner date down the street so I ran there - .5 miles - and hadn't run in years because of my knees. Of course I was winded and out of shape to run that far, but my knees felt great. I thought that maybe I could start running again so I got out my Ryka running shoes and nope, the Dankso's took the shock better. I wasn't about to start jogging in clogs, however, due to the possibility of losing balance. I mean, they are still clogs with a platform to them. ... show more
