Description

Ahhhhh, Dansko. There you go again. Doing your all-day comfort thing. Making us feel so good on our feet. With excellent arch support and legendary comfort, you let us stand longer than ever. And with great styles in a range of heel heights, you have us feeling all tingly inside, just like the day we first met. When wife and husband team, Mandy Cabot and Peter Kjellerup discovered the world's most comfortable shoe in a tiny shop in Denmark in 1990, they just had to bring some home for their friends. When their friends tried them on, they told their friends. And just like that, a shoe company was born. Now Dansko not only sells their original clogs, but also heels, boots, sandals, wedges and flats too! Every style features the Dansko DNA - materials and construction carefully selected to promote good foot, leg and back health, so that you can stand better, for longer. Say goodbye to choosing between looking good and feeling good. And say hello to having it all.

  • LOVE these shoes!
These are my second pair of black professional Dansko clogs and I will keep buying them. My last pair lasted about six years until they developed a squeak. They were slightly scuffed, but the rest of the shoe was in tact. They still looked great. I decided to replace them, but I'm going to get the old pair fixed as a back up. I also have a pair in brown that have been with me for four years. They still look and feel like new. A few reviewers mentioned that the size is sometimes inconsistent. Yes, that is true. When I boughht my brown shoes at The Walking Company, the sales person said that was because they were hand made. So tried on a few pairs until I found the best fit. When I ordered this particular pair on Amazon a few months ago, the size was perfect. What I love about these shoes: - it is beyond durable. They will last no matter what I do to them. - they are so amazingly comfortable while still looking great. - they add a few inches to my height without making it noticeable or preventing me from walking normally - they allow me to wear "short" length pants without the ends of the pants dragging on the floor - they are casual when I wear jeans, and look professional enough to wear to work or an interview - they don't scuff as much as other shoes and are very easy to care for I really can't emphasize how much I love these shoes. What I don't like about these shoes: - depending on the shoe, the tops dig into my foot if I wear thick socks - creases form on the top after I break them in - they have very little traction Nonetheless, these small downsides are not enough to bring down this five star review. These are by far the best shoes I've ever owned. ... show more

  • Great quality, but too narrow
Top quality, but had to return them. It would have been better for me to have gone to a footwear store that sells Dansko. I plan to do so since they are incredibly popular among people in professions that require them to be on their feet day in and day out. My sister and then a co worker of mine had suggested that I try them. One day, while getting my drivers license renewed, I was seated in a waiting area amongst two other ladies. BOTH of them were wearing Danskos. Each was in the medical profession and swore by the comfort and quality of them. I will order them from Amazon once I can get the right size for me. That is key. ... show more

  • Great choice for arch support
I am a registered nurse and works full-time, 12 hour days with very opportunities to be off my feet. I recently consulted an orthopedic specialist for progressively worsening left foot-ankle pain. After careful assessment, I was diagnosed peroneal tendonitis and flattened arch on that side. He also noted pronation, likely the cause of bilateral knee pain (vastus medialus oblique muscle). I am on a wait-list to start a course of physical therapy, but in the meantime, I ordered this shoe in my regular size (European equivalent of US 7.5 Medium)and wear it at work, on routine errands, and even around the house. It is firm, supportive, and comfortable without pronation. The first day I wore them, my foot-ankle discomfort was significantly improved. I am very encouraged that these issues will respond well to treatment, which begins with a supportive shoe. I also purchased the Dansko Paisley sneaker, another excellent choice for comfort, support, proper alignment. ... show more

  • Very NICE shoe, nice fit, But buyer beware..
I was charged tax that was not revealed until after I finished the transaction, and the store didn't say where it shipped from, so my charge was considerably higher than what they led me to believe. I don't think it is right to estimate, or mislead, or not advertise where an item ships from, that could be taxable. I could have done much better..three stars for not being honest.. ... show more

  • Very comfortable!
I bought these clogs to wear to work, I’m on my feet most of my day. I usually wear my athletic shoes with orthotics, but needed an alternate shoe and I’m really glad I bought these. They are extremely comfortable!! They fit as described. I wear and 8 in athletic shoes and bought the 8. Very happy with this purchase. Arrived quickly as well. ... show more

  • sizing has changed radically
I've been wearing clogs for nearly 30 years. I bought my last pair about 3 years ago, and I'm trying to find a new pair. Nothing fits. I've always been a 38 in every style. Now 38 is huge and 37 is way too tight. Not sure I will be able to keep wearing Dansko.

  • A bit stiff, but comfortable
I bought these clogs to wear with dressier pants that needed something taller than a flat. The 2” heel on these Dansko flats is perfect. The clogs are comfortable enough to wear all day on hard floors. There’s plenty of arch support and room for a heavier sock. However I’m unimpressed with the black cabrio finish. It’s is a bit stiff and looks like it will eventually crack. These are reasonably well made, if a bit pricey. Similar clogs are available in several other brands for less money, but I found the Dansko ones fit better. I have a pair of 10 year old Born clogs of similar style in tan. They are a nice soft leather and seem to cradle my feet better than the new Dansko clogs. I do hope the new ones soften up a bit. ... show more

  • Meh
The 39 W was too big and the 38W is too small. Welcome to Limbo. Used to be a 38W previously. This shoe has no stiffness in the material by the arch; it lets my foot spill inward. Also, it is too narrow by the base of the pinky toe. The arch support is too posterior. The plastic panels in the heel are very stiff and kind of narrows the heel part. Things have changed at this brand and not for the better. ... show more
