My podiatrist recommended Dansko clogs to relieve my Achilles tendinitis. I found this pair and liked the rustic look of them as I usually am in cowboy boots. I have an idea of piercing them and adding a concho, lol. I do find that they make my feet feel incredibly better! Many reviewers wrote that they found them to run small. I did not find this to be the case. While they did feel tight the first day, after that they felt perfect. Now that I have been wearing them for a week, I have began wearing a cushy sock and find that they are quite comfortable, not too big, but well fitting and not too tight as I had once thought. It is reminiscent of the shoes that my mom would by me as a child, where you had to break them in first. And as I said before, they do feel really good and provide the relief that my Doctor said that they would! ... show more

I wanted an all black clog and LOVE my Dansko Berry (have 3 colors) but this toe box is more round than almond like the berry and I measured, all my other Dansko size 40 has a longer footbed than the Ingrid in size 40. Appears an entire size smaller, they fit but my heel is right at the edge and the arch support is off so I know they are too short. Will attempt to order in size 41. ... show more

My history with Danskos goes back a while and has been kinda frustrating. About 15 years ago I purchased the Professional closed back clogs. They seemed OK at first, but then became uncomfortable around the back of the foot/ankle area. I ended up giving them away because they just weren't comfortable. A few years later I purchased Sonja, the open back clogs. They were better, yet I always felt like they were about to slip off my feet. They just did not feel very secure. Again I ended up giving them away because they sat in my closet being ignored time and time again. I really really wanted to love Danskos, but gave up on them until recently. So along comes Ingrid. I figured why not give these a try. I couldn't go wrong with the free return policy so I went ahead and ordered a pair, sizing up as other reviewers have recommended. These are absolutely great! Right out of the box they just felt wonderful. With socks, or without socks, Love! For me, it's all about the adjustable strap in the back that works best for me, keeping the clogs from slipping away while walking , yet giving very comfortable support. The perfect combination. Just what I was looking for. I've been wanting to love Danskos for many years, and now I can. If there is anything negative to say about these shoes, it would be that they are made in China, like everything else.... ... show more

I really really wanted these shoes to be awesome…they were absolutely beautiful and stylish, but the moment that put them on I knew they were not going to work. I walked around the house in them and with the strap behind my heel my feet stayed in place but it hurt my toes, worn as a regular clog I could barely walk and they were not at all comfortable to me. Sadly, I returned them but bought a different style of Danskos (a Mary Jane style) that are the best shoes I’ve ever worn… ... show more

Fist of all, the sizing is right on. I wear a 9.5-10 in Skechers and others - the 40 fit perfect. I almost changed my order at the last minute due to reviews saying that the 40 (9.5-10) were too narrow. I do not have narrow feet, in fact they are a bit wide and I have moderately high arches and therefore a high instep and usually avoid mule type shoes because they end up too long and dangerous if I size up for width. With that said, these were perfect in length and width. The addition of the convertible strap will help after these have stretched a bit from wear. There is lots of room in the toe box all my toes have plenty of room to move. With that said, I do not have long toes, I have short little toes so that might be why these fit so well. I bought these becuase I was having some pretty bad back pain from the assortment of other shoes I had been wearing, mostly ones with memory foam soles which gives out rather quickly with constant wear which caused planar fasciitis and that caused me to favor my right leg which then caused some pretty intense lower back pain. I had another pair that is about 7 years old, and I'd still be wearing them except that the high instep causes the Mary Jane strap to pop off at in opportune times. As soon as I get that replaced with a heavy duty snap I'll continue wearing them. ... show more

I am not a nurse or a doctor, just a regular gal who can't stand pointy toe shoes that make my feet hurt. I wear these with jeans and casual pants and they always look great, my feet always have room to breathe and at the end of the day, I almost don't want to take them off! (At 5'2", an added plus is that they make me look taller.) The strap on the heel is great since I have a very narrow heel and have never been able to wear clogs before. But bet of all is that they are cut in such a way that you don't look as though you are wearing clunky clodhoppers. They actually make my feet look smaller and two of my best friends (who are style mavens) so loved the way they look with jeans that they bought them too.
