  • Awesome kitchen shoes
Size: 10.5-11 Color: Brown Waterproof
These are awesome. They took a little while to break in but worth the pain. Wear them with some older insoles for a week or two so they can stretch a little. I’ve been a chef for 25 years. I’ve been through many different shoes. These aren’t cheap but they’re well worth the money. I wear the for 10-12 hours a day 5-6 days a week. They’re extremely comfortable. Slip resistance is great. They fit true to size and look good to boot. Not like the duck feet clogs largely available out there. ... show more

  • Update: would buy again - good shoe but fit and sizing a little confusing for 1st time buyer
Size: 8.5-9 Color: Brown Oiled
UPDATE: Ended up getting the size 40 and while it felt big at first, I got used to it in 2-3 days and have worn it daily at work for the last year and have really come to like the shoe-my feet stay dry, there's adequate support, and honestly it they've just become a joy to walk short distances in (clinic / hospital setting). I almost want to give it 5 stars but since it takes a little care going up and downstairs with them and the mobility is not perfect 4-5 stars. I like them enough that I would buy again I bought the shoe size that said 8.5-9 ( at least at the time of this review the only sizing listed are apparently US sizes ie 8.5-9, 9.5-10... without the EU sizing). In most shoe brands I'm about an 8.5. I can sometimes go as low as 8 and sometimes as high as 9 but usually 8.5 is more or less a good fit. However in these shoes I felt like they were clearly way too large perhaps by 1 or 1 and 1/2 sizes. I was able to sit out two pinkies behind the heel (as opposed to the 1 pinky that is recommended in the Dansko sizing video). And even with the two pinkies space behind the heel I felt like I had more than enough room in the toe box. Even just taking a few steps in the house the shoes almost slipped off a few times. Otherwise the foot dead and the construction felt very nice and I think if it fit better I suspect it would have been a comfortable shoe. I should also note that once I did some digging around like to danskos website I found that the 8.5-9 correlated with a European size of 42 which would have been much more helpful information because I know that I'm a size 40. Hopefully this can help facilitate decision making regarding sizing of the shoe. ... show more

  • Best clog for standing around the operating room or kitchen
Size: 12.5-13 Color: Brown Oiled
Been wearing these since the 1980’s. I’m a surgeon and standing around all day, operating on patients requires comfort. These are the favorite OR shoes of many surgeons. They are durable and look a lot cooler than most footwear. There’s room to move your toes around and there’s no laces because they are clogs. Chefs like them too. If you like to cook and you happen to be a surgeon, I believe this purchase might be a requirement in some localities. ... show more

  • Slip resistant tread is already gone on both shoes
Size: 10.5-11 Color: Black Burnished Nubuck
Shoes are SO COMFORTABLE. The water resistance is great and the arch support has been unmatched. But for slip resistant work clogs that cost $150 you would expect them to last more than 4 1/2 months. Have ordered slip resistant shoes for over 20 years from multiple sellers and the cheaper ones have the outsole, tongue or insole fail well before the treads. Dansko had been highly recommended by several coworkers, etc. but, I’ve never had the treads wear out this quickly. Have had several pairs from shoes for crews of equal or lesser price last more than twice as long. Very disappointed as Zappos simply told me to contact Amazon and Amazon just states it is past their return or exchange window. Save your money and go get slip resistant shoes from shoes for crews or elsewhere. Dansko casual clogs might last but work shoes don’t. ... show more

  • Great for kitchen work
Size: 11.5-12 Color: Black Nubuck
I’d recommend buying a size up to what you normally wear, they are also a bit slim on the opening so I wouldn’t recommend to anyone that has wider feet, but I wear them for my 10-14 hour shift in the kitchen standing all day and they have been wonderful so far, the heel support helps a ton with posture and ultimately helps reduces lower back pain, would definitely buy again (added side benefit too, they make you like 4 inches taller lol) ... show more

  • Way too tight and unsteady
Size: 11.5-12 Color: Black Burnished Nubuck
It might just be unique to me, but I found the toe box to be uncomfortably tight even though the shoe fit correctly everywhere else. Enough so that I ended up with Morton's neuroma (pain and numbness in your feet and toes) for about a month or two after wearing them for only 2 or 3 days. I also had to stop wearing them because I kept rolling my ankles. It looks like the soles are actually slanted (not by mistake, but how the shoes are manufactured). The build quality of the shoes is good, and I felt like they supported my feet well, but the constant pain from squeezing the daylights out of my toes and rolling my ankles makes them impossible for me to wear. I can't return them in good conscience because they're scuffed up (from falling so many times), so I guess I'm just stuck with them. ... show more
