My feet are somewhat wide in the middle, although my toe spread isn't that wide. Even shoes that seem like they fit can end up causing severe cramps in my feet if they're too narrow in the wrong spots. These are perfect. As soon as I slipped them on they felt like a perfect fit. I'm an 8-8.5 depending on brand, and occasionally have some swelling, so I went with size 39. My heel doesn't go all the way to the back, but they don't feel too big, so I think it'll just be nice to have extra room if my feet swell a little. The toe box is nice and wide, the middle of the shoe is snug and supportive, and they don't flop around when I walk, which surprised me for a backless clog like this. This is my first pair of Danskos. They live up to the hype. They are comfortable AND cute. I wear a size 10 shoe in general - and these still make my feet look relatively small. They are comfortable and easy to walk in - I am up and down all day. I am now a Dansko fan!!
