Okay. True fact about me yes My tubes are tied. I know you ask why am I taking this. Well I’m in my pre menopause phase of life. Where my body (menstrual) last up to a few weeks at a time. My menstrual was continuously heavy. At times would only pause for a few days before deciding to ruin my life again. My iron levels were excruciating low. I never had depression and my body was going through quite some emotions I never knew existed. At times I had no strength to even get out of bed. So I decided to go on the hunt for something to make me be normal again or close to it. I been on this for almost 3 months now. My periods are normal again and back to just 5-7 days. I don’t get anymore hot flashes and I’m also able to sleep better at night. Without having to take so many pm meds. I’m glad It hasn’t made me gain any weight. But I did notice it makes my breast swell and ache before my menstrual cycle starts. Another side effect it ups the hormones as well.

It took us long enough! I switched from the combination pill over to this minipill and have loved the change. I dont need a prescription, which means I don't have to waste a day to drive out to an insurance approved doctor for them to just "forget" I needed a prescription and force me to waste a day twice. This is revolutionary for my lifestyle. I'm about three months in and it's working (so far as I can tell, hah!).

First and foremost, I’d like to say I’ve never started a period and didn’t know I started. Of course I have a Chart but for blood to come out of me and me not have horrible cramps before to warm me.. it’s just unheard of. I’m literally cramping right now but it’s NOTHING compared to what I’ve gone through for 28 years. My nipples have gotten sore but nothing to really complain about, I kinda think they’ve gotten bigger hahahaha. I’m hooked. I can think breathe and live and I’m on my period. If you’re thinking about it. DO IT.

So I develop ovarian cysts every month, (mildly painfull), and over the years my doc always recommend birth control to help the issue. Thinking that the cysts wouldn't develop amymore with birth control use. Opill made my cyst pain worse. Without birth control, I only have cyst pain 7 days per month. On Opill, that increased to 30 days of cysts pain. Ugh! My problem actually worsened on Opill. Now I'm off Opill, and back to only 7 days of cysts pain per month. Do not recommend Opill for ovarian cysts relief.

Admittedly I have not been using this long but I have struggled using birth control pills in the past with it causing side effects such as nausea, weight gain, and emotional changes. This does not at all! It is such a small pill that is so easy to take and so far I have not experienced any side effects!

We were on the hunt for a birth control option that was easy to get, inexpensive and not as intense or invasive as other hormonal options. We looked at diaphragms, IUDs, hormonal rings etc. and found that the quality of life and long term health effects make those options not viable (case by case). Opill was then released by Perrigo, one of the largest manufacturers of OTCs on the planet. This is a mini-pill where it essentially a “birth control-lite” with it being less effective (98%) however less invasive of your bodies natural hormonal systems. We live a highly holistic lifestyle so birth control was not necessarily a first choice for us however after my research this fit the best in our lifestyle. As of 1 month, there has been NO SIDE EFFECTS nor changes to period and 0 pregnancies (believe me we checked)! With these factors in mind, I WOULD ALMOST STRICTLY RECOMMEND THIS FOR BIRTH CONTROL PRIMARILY. If you are using birth control for other scenarios (acne, periods, PMS) - I would advise looking at root causes first and navigating potential mineral/vitamin deficiencies then worst case going to a stronger birth control. I would like to give a thanks to the FDA (something I thought I would never do) for allowing this freely on the marketplace, this is a major milestone for the most important USA value ; Liberty. TLDR ; HIGHLY RECOMMEND AS PRIMARILY A BIRTH CONTROL, NO SIDE EFFECTS, NO BABIES Update 5/28/2024 Removed 1 star as breakthrough bleeding has been very prevalent however could be new usage of birth control. Still no babies!!

I just started taking this. I haven’t been on bc for over nine years now. I was very scared looking at some of the reviews regarding the horrible side effects, but I haven’t experienced anything yet. No headaches, no nausea, no nothing. I will update this review in a couple weeks as well. UPDATE*** so I still don’t have any bad side effects. Still no nausea, headaches, anxiety, etc… My boobs were a little sore, but then the next day I started my period. My period has been heavier than normal. I usually bleed moderate to heavy for only two days, and then very light for the next three days. Instead, I bled heavy for four days straight, and then nothing after that. I would say I was a little moodier than normal, but nothing too crazy. I’m back to normal now. Before my period started my husband was fully (you know what) in me (quite a lot..sorry for tmi, but this could be useful to others) and I didn’t get pregnant. Thank god because we cannot afford a kid right now. I honestly think this is a good bc for me. Everyone is different, but it is definitely worth a try.
