I love these for work. I have a somewhat archaic dress code where heels are encouraged but not required, so I went in search of heels with very little actual slope. These are great. They do run about a size small (I am generally a 5, bought a six after some reviews said they run small and they fit fantastically. Might even consider getting a pair in 6.5 for days I know I will be walking more and get swollen feet) I will say, the "Grey" is actually a stormy blue, which I was actually hoping for, so if you are expecting a true GREY you will not get it.     • Fun Mary Jane Platform Shoes that Don't Feel Like a Boat!

Black Patent Mary Jane, doubled strapped. I have ordered several different styles of these and this was my last attempt to find a pair that were decent to wear. Finally, this is the FIRST that actually fits well and feels good. Even comfortable. Initially the idea was to complete a costume but I like to get bang for my buck and wanted them to be be OK to wear with regular clothing. This is the closest fit that I have experienced. The double strap makes them feel really secure on my foot and the arch, while not perfect, is pretty darned close. I can actually feel the support! Plus they are really smart looking and will look good with both skirts and pants or jeans. I do intend to wear socks with them because that is just more comfortable. There is a surface gap over the toe (that you can slide your fingers under), but that is not noticeable with socks and does not affect the fit. This gap rang true with all that I tried; it's just part of the style. It simply isn't molded to be flush with the top of toe area. These were also the first pair that didn't feel like a boat, but then my food isn't very wide. I depend on reviews to help me and really appreciate a full narrative. I hope mine helps. ... show more

I purchased these shoes two years ago, and they quickly became my go-to work shoes. As an outdoor worker, I'm on my feet for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Initially, the leather toes were tight and required breaking in, but once that was done, the leather transformed into a soft, supple material that hugged my feet perfectly. The break-in period was well worth it, as the shoes became incredibly comfortable. Despite being exposed to various weather conditions, these shoes have held up incredibly well. Their durability has exceeded my expectations. Moreover, I receive constant compliments on their cute design. Strangers often stop me to admire my shoes and share nostalgic stories about similar shoes from their youth. So cute and pretty comfortable to wear. Easy to walk around in if you know how to pick up your feet ( I don’t and almost tripped from the toe dragging lol) fit is perfect except there is a very large gap between the top of my foot and the toe material. I have to have something under my toes to prop them up and get them closer to the top material. They are also pointier than the picture shows, I thought they were round toe but they are not. ... show more

Shoes run big so I sized down 1/2 size after reading reviews. The buckle isn’t an issue if you can read the instructions on it and there’s pictures too. Ordered a size 8 (40), they sent me a 7.5 (39). I am returning these. I am reordering sizes 8 (40), 8.5 (41), and 9 (42) in extreme hopes that I get the correct size. I will return the three that don't fit as these are for an outfit I want to wear on vacation in 3 weeks and I don't have time to mess around. That having been said, they are very cute and look really well made, and I think the proper size will be very comfortable, but I will update on that. UPDATE: according to their size chart (I actually measured my foot) a size 8 corresponds to a size 40. Twice I ordered a size 8 and got a size 39, which corresponds to a size 7.5 on their chart. After ordering several sizes (40, 41, 42), I received 39, 40, 41. finally ended up keeping what I ordered as the 9, but was marked as a 41 - the 8.5 according to their size chart. It accommodates my wide foot, but is just a little bit too long. Stuffed a couple of tissues in the toes and wore them around the house all day without any problem. I think we all know what lengths we will go to in order to wear really cute shoes. Just saying. And these are NICE shoes. The stitching is straight, there isn't glue gooped all over the place, the buckles were shiny and sturdy.
