Arrived missing parts. So I returned mine. I bought a replacement from a different retailer (a certain group coupon site often has these for cheap) the kits are quality but not for kids. The directions are only small images with almost no words (the few words are in broken English) the images are full color and you can find youtube videos of most of the modules being built. But again all of the videos are image/text only. The best way of explaining the process is your making an entire buildings worth of IKEA furniture thats about 5cm tall. If an building an IKEA bookshelf sounds like a horrible experience to you stay away from this kit. Because you WILL be required to build a tiny IKEA style bookcase and it goes about exactly as you would expect. All that aside I happened to love these kits. This is actually the third from this manufacturer I've made. They are finicky and hard with lots of tiny pieces. But the final product is really good looking. I dont fear picking up the completed structure. When guest come over I encourage them to pick them up, turn on the lights and music boxes, peer into them and find all the little details. When complete they are sturdy and look nice with out giving off a creepy doll house vibe like some of these kits do. Word of warning to anyone who buys this brand of DIY kit. They are supposed to come shrink wrapped in plastic with a paper wrap-around displaying the module number and stock image. If your kit arrives with out this check ALL your pieces before starting assembly. You may have a return. I have done this brand of kit before and knew something was off as soon I opened my package. It's not a guarantee that it's a return. I've seen many boxes lose the paper wrapper but the missing shrink wrap is a something to be on the look out for. ... show more

I love this set. There are so many great little details. This is my 2nd set from this company. I received it super fast without any damage to the packaging or contents inside. My 11 year old daughter and I make these little rooms together. I assemble the furniture and "build" the room structure. She makes alot of the small details like books, pictures and other things like that. Please keep in mind that most everything in these types of kits is very tiny and requires assembly. But it is completely doable and extremely satisfying to see the finished project. The included instructions are easy to follow and include color pictures with step by step. Oh, I almost forgot a wonderful bonus that this set has. It came with scissors, retractable "exacto" knife, tweezers, ruler and small screwdriver. These are an awesome addition. They are a great size for my 11 yr old to use as her own tools. I help her with the cutting blade though. It does not include glue but that's ok. I didn't expect any. I would totally recommend one of these kits! It's such a great activity to do with an older child. (Especially one with ADD) It really keeps her attention and helps build her confidence. Seeing how proud she is of herself for completing these small tasks is HUGE!! We will definitely be ordering more. Oh and they're just SUPER cute when completed. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My first miniature kit, & I absolutely enjoyed every bit of this new hobby I've discovered! This kit comes with an instruction booklet (language doesnt really matter, because they're all photos)! Since this was my first time building this type of kit, I really took my time and stayed very organized from beginning to end. Towards the end of the project, I discovered that I was actually missing a few pieces! Despite the missing pieces, I kinda just "rolled with it" and finished it a little differently than the boxed display result. Overall, I was able to get about 35-40 hours out of this project. For the price and my amateur expetience level, this was a pleasant purchase, to say the least. Very happy I got it! Very cute. First time building ones of these little houses. It was really fun. I learned a lot and will continue on. The only thing I didn’t like was that it said tools were included but there wasn’t any and a few parts were missing- I was able to find small pieces of rope around the house for egg basket and I had to use the rest of the rocks for the basket because there was no styrofoam eggs included either. It was no big deal. But for the price those items should have been in there. ... show more
