FANTASTIC adapter with some easy-enough custom adaptations (details below) to make it universal! Worked great for a 2012 Honda Pilot and 2019 Honda CRV. With some adaptions (required)-- we could use it with our Motive Power Bleeder for our mobile mechanic business. MOTIVE does NOT offer a newer-gen Honda power bleeder adapter (they only have a universal... which isn't great...), but this adapter can be easily modified to fit the MOTIVE platform perfectly! And it's a tight fit (be careful don't force it!)! I'll continue to use this for my small business, and will update if premature failure occurs, but so far it's been great. Modifications we used to adapt to MOTIVE Power Bleeder to make it more universal (1/4" - 18 NPT): You will need: - 1/4-18 NPT thread tap (Amazon) - 7/16 drill bit (Amazon) - male 1/4-18 NPT to 5/16" barb fitting (2x) (Amazon) - female 1/4-18 NPT to air compressor fitting (Harbor Freight, probably plenty of online options) - 5/16 Vinyl tubing (same size as the MOTIVE Power Bleeder platform) - Small worm clamps 2x (Harbor Freight has a good small hose clamp assortment kit collection, Amazon probably too) Process: 1. Remove the 'stock' air compressor fitting with a wrench. It is not thread staked / bonded into the plastic, and can be removed relatively easily. 2. Drill the hole to be larger. You will want a 7/16 drill bit-- it wasn't originally in our drill bit inventory, so double check you have this. It feels destructive-- trust the process here. 3. Thread tap the new hole using to a 1/4" - 18 NPT thread form. We used QWORK 1/4" - 18 NPT thread tap. Cheap is fine-- it's just plastic. Careful to not over-tap!! The NPT threads are tapered so if you go tap too far you may get a sloppy fit. This thread form is very universal, unlike the "specialty" compressor fitting that the part comes with. 4. Install a male 1/4-18 NPT to 5/16" barb fitting. We used Boeray 5pc brass hose barb fittings. 5. Attach 5/16 vinyl tubing. Consider upgrading this to a different material if you plan to fill the MOTIVE power bleeder with brake fluid (I believe it will degrade the vinyl). Retain with small worm clamps. 6. On the other end of the tube (the side that attaches to the MOTIVE power bleeder)-- attach another male 1/4-18 NPT to 5/16" barb fitting onto the tube. Then we attached a 1/4" - 18 NPT FEMALE to standard air compressor fitting-- we got this adapter at Harbor Freight. Would recommend not using Teflon tape as that material I believe degrades with brake fluid exposure. It worked great for us!! It's a bit of playing with Legos getting it to work, but it works like new! As of January 2026 MOTIVE does not make a modern Honda brake reservoir attachment (unless you call the universal adapter sufficient, which IMO it is not...). It's a tight fit for sure but sealed up great! Don't force it, take your time and it'll do you well. On CTA's website it's noted that there are 2 versions of this either 56mm or 55mm. While this version of the 56mm does fit in the master cylinder it is an extremely tight fit where it seems you may accidently damage the plastic master cylinder from trying to force it in and turn. With the amount of force to get it to fit, you probably wouldn't even need to lock it. If I had nothing else, i'm sure i can get this to work but wouldn't be an exact fit. I believe the 55mm version would be better for the 2013 Honda Civic LX, unfortunately that model cap isn't available on Amazon.

Very annoying adapter to deal with on top of being cheap plastic. I used my motiv pressure bleeder that works fine with BMWs with the motiv cap but when I install this cap on Hondas, it leaks air into the system rendering the pressure bleeder useless. I installed teflon tape, on the fitting threads to help seal and it still leaks. I need this tool on a daily basis for work and has been nothing but a hassle and waste of money. Already too late to return. The cap fits super tight and is annoying to install and remove, the whole fluid reservoir bends when trying to install or remove regardless of the seals being lubed with brake fluid.

This cap will fit the 2021 Honda Pilot brake master cylinder without any issue. It's the adapter to the Nitto nipple that can get tricky. Nitto is not a widely used consumer level standard. So, it's too difficult to find a pressure bleeder that will support Nitto. You need to get another adapter : CTA Tools 7043 Quick Coupler Adapter - Nitto. This adapter will slip into the CTA 7030 quick release without a glitch. Since the other end of the CTA 7043 is 1/4" NPT M Style Coupler, you need to get one more piece : Milton - S212 S-212 1/4" NPT M Style Coupler and Plug Kit Once you have that last piece, you screw it into the CTA 7043, leaving you with quick release NPT plug. You now buy the Motive 0118 Black Label GM, Tesla & Late Ford/Mazda Power Bleeder Kit. This kit's female quick release will snap right into the NPT male plug. Your system is now all set. Hope this helps. This method does not require you to modify any tubing, cut anything. It's a plug-and-play method.

I now have two Motive adapters and this one I use on a Motive power filler. This adapter is of higher quality and secures better than motive adapters. It is true the inlet is a little larger than the motive tube but it can be stretched to fit by a Phillips screwdriver or something else put inside and remmed, with a solvent like mineral spirits or gasoline to soften. Use a thin hose clamp and you have it. Nothing worse than a cap that doesn't fit well and squirts corrosive brake fluid all over!

A little tight and almost impossible to get it down to the cap to turn and lock on the 2014 crv and this is suppose to be the smaller diameter of the two that CTA offers. I mean it’s really tight need a clamp to set it. If you don’t turn and lock the adapter it will pop out. Not good experience. Does not fit well, don’t know why Amazon gave it a check as fit. It is a quality made adaptor though.

Did a brake bleed on all three of my Hondas, a 2011 CRV, 2021 RDX and 2005 Odyssey and it fit perfectly. Did the "mod" for it to attach to a motive power bleeder. I find 10 psi plenty to bleed the brakes. No need to crank it up. It is indeed a tight fit, but a dab of brake fluid around the o-ring helps press on easier. Feels super high quality.
