I don't like them for water because they slip on wet surfaces. In my experience. I bought my husband a pair of Crocs slippers over twelve years ago and he still wears them every night. I had a pair of Crocs my young son outgrew for the longest time. I finally ditched them about eight years later only because I got another pair that actually fit me. They were used in horse stalls and gardens and were still in great condition even though they were very dirty..when I threw them out. Not the nicest looking shoe, but comfortable. I used to be strictly a sneaker person until someone recommended Crocs to me for standing at work all day. For standing at work I have the platform crocs and I cannot live without them, if I ever know I will be standing for more then five hours I will forever wear the platform Crocs. These Crocs that I’m Reviewing are excellent to come and go in, I can wear them around the house and to go on any errand. I think they are even slip proof when my driveway gets icy and slippery. The only downside to these crocs is that when it is very cold outside and you aren’t wearing thick socks your feet will get cold and you could potentially get sick. Yeah, yeah. Just like you I was told by person after person how amazing crocs were and just like you I stuck my nose up in naive defiance. It took Jenna Marbles raving about her crocs to finally convince me to give these a chance. I don’t think I’ve worn sneakers a single time since. I probably should have when I went hiking though. I got a nasty blister from the foam rubbing against the top of my foot, but that’s on me for hiking in crocs. Crocs do have a time and a place. And it’s for chill ‘o clock and excel everywhere but the office or a hiking trail. Running errands: crocs. Going to a friends: crocs. Yard work: crocs. Kitchen job: crocs. You wanna express yourself, throw some jibbits on those crocs. It’s like the freedom and breeziness of a flip flop with the protection and support of a sneaker. Wear socks or don’t, your feet will be very happy either way. Also, they tend to stay clean and don’t really hold dirt or smell as far as I can tell. They do take a few days to fully break in and you will soon find yourself wearing them everywhere. The nubs on your feet are weird at first, but they soften with wear. I recently bought these Crocs for my wife, and I have to say, it's been a game changer in our relationship. I used to be just another boring husband, but now I'm a hero in her eyes (or at least that's what she tells me when she's wearing her Crocs). Let's be real, these shoes are not exactly fashion forward, but they more than make up for it with their unparalleled comfort. My wife says it feels like she's walking on a cloud, and I've caught her sleeping with them on more than once (I'm not judging, I do the same with my slippers). But the real test came when we took a family trip to the zoo. My wife was able to navigate the rocky terrain and navigate through the crowds with ease. It was like watching a gazelle gracefully jumping through the savannah (except replace the gazelle with my wife and the savannah with a zoo). Plus, the clog design makes them easy to clean and sanitize, so we don't have to worry about the zoo germs sticking around. In conclusion, these Crocs are not just shoes, they are a way of life. Almost 50% off through Amazon. Went to croc store asked for my size and they did not have them. So I looked on Amazon and they had my size. Two days later they where at my door. And yes comfy. I got the Crocs Unisex-Adult Classic in navy. They are true to size, and it was so much cheaper then the crocs store. I where them around the house and out side. they are so comfy I would where them to work if I could. ... show more

To be honest I never saw myself as a “croc person,” but this past summer I realized I was needing a durable but breathable pair of shoes when gardening, so after much consideration I decided crocs would actually be the best choice! And while we can all admit they certainly aren’t the cutest looking shoe, they do work great for gardening in your backyard during the hot summer months. Crocs are probably some of my favorite shoes. They're comfortable, durable, and practical. My only issue, is that I forgot to size up. I'm usually a 7/7.5 and I ordered a 7 when I should have ordered an 8. They still fit, but they're a little more snug than I would like, but I know after a while they'll loosen up and be fine. It's just that the "breaking in" stage is never any fun when you actually have to put in the work. ... show more
