Crocks are the way to go for comfort, especially doing outdoor work where your feet get wet. The quality is great, and they slip right on. For cleaning, just use a hose or, if they get really dirty, toss them in the sink with some soapy water, rub them with your fingers, rinse, and wear again.

Admit to only buying crocs because they were licenced Frida Kahlo's. My brother found them in Mexico City and contacted me for my size but the tourist price was ridiculous and am happy to have found them for half price here; which ended up being average Crocs price. They are as bright as the pictures and are used as mostly my house shoes/slippers with occasionally wearing in my garden. I like them too much to wear out as a regular shoe.
