Extremely easy to set up using my HP all in one PC. Immediately accomplished first project out of box and started watching videos on YouTube to learn skills and how tos. Bundle had a nice beginning sampler of vinyl and iron. Purchase from CrafteCorner with good email customer service via email and 10% coupon off first order from them. We just unbox this new machine. Everything came nice and neat and secured. The main machine came wrapped up in a plastic as well. All of the pieces that you need to start making item was right in the Box with the exception of a course a computer. There were simple instructions on how to get started and what website to go to download the software. It takes you on a step-by-step process. We made our first vinyl cut within 20 minutes of downloading software and it was a fairly simple design since we are quite an experience with this machine. And yes there are some YouTube videos for those who don't understand some instructions. I'm more of a Hands-On kind of guy and went through all of the controls. Needless to say it was a simple process. All of the tools you need are included in this kit. Now just so you understand, this kid does not come with a numerous amount of material to make money. It includes enough material to get you started and understanding on how to use it. I'm very impressed with how many different materials this machine can cut. It can also do calligraphy and writing stencils. There are some markers that are included and of course the machine shows you exactly where the hell to put the markers. The cutting blades are easy to install and remove. There are different blades for different material. This beginners kit comes with a scoring knife and a cutting blade for those vinyl cuts. As for the other blades for different materials that's something that you will end up having to buy on your own Once you get more Familiar Eyes on how to use a machine. Needless to say, I am very happy with this machine and what it can do. My partner is going to do vinyl iron on t-shirts mugs and hats. Overall I consider this a nice investment for future plans. And for those of you who are thinking of getting this machine and don't want to spend a whole lot of money on a computer, you should be able to serve ice with a inexpensive computer under $300. I do recommend using a computer that is running on Windows 10 or even an iMac will do very nicely but then again Apple computers are pretty pricey.     • Exactly what I was hoping for!
I was very pleased when receiving this item, it was loaded with a bunch of items to utilize with the maker. The instructions and instalation process was user friendly. It was exactly what I was hoping for.

I love it! You will have to be able to use computer software to prepare what you want to cut. Some of you will find this easy, and others who have problems with Photo Shop type programs, will find it to be not user friendly. I watched a lot of UTube videos, and felt pretty comfortable with the software right from the beginning. The machine itself is wonderful, cuts flawlessly, and cuts so many different types of materials. I love the way it cuts fabric, without a backing on it. I love the Smart Mat feature, and urge you to check out the UTube videos on this. I bought this cutter for the fabric feature, which put it above all the other machines, but it has so much more, and even cuts wood, alum...copper, and more. ... show more

I am a beginner crafter and I found the Cricut to be very user friendly. YouTube videos are very helpful and will get you up to speed on Design Space and different crafts to make. I thought the value was great - no shipping or tax. This is a good starter kit - you have the tools you will need to begin using your Cricut but you will want to add-on tools, blades, Easy Press, etc. as you go. I love it! Absolutely loveeee and I am sooo excited about this purchase.... I canโ€™t wait to start doing everything with it. Easy set up! Marked 3 out of 5 stars for value because it is pretty expensive you would think you would get like a years subscription included and/or more materials to start.
