I wanted to see what styles of snowshoes were available to buy. When I saw the Crescent Moons I liked the slim and streamlined design. Since they are made of durable hard foam they are incredibly light and I hardly notice that I'm wearing them! The heavy duty velcro straps snug down on my boots and stay snug! They have great traction, even when walking up and down steep hills. I can run in them, walk backwards, walk and jog in tight circles. These are quality snowshoes and have an excellent design. I bought these for my wife for xmas - when she first seen them I got what the hell are these (she was talking about going snowshoeing with her friends as she has never been snowshoeing before.). But when she went with her friends she really liked them - she said really worked well.

My kids and I love these, they're easy to get on, easy to use, and look awesome! Not meant for powdered snow or serious climbing but perfect for "freestyling"...ie running, jumping, walking on packed trails. Love that they're foam and have a spring like step to them. These are excellent snowshoes. As advertised, they work best in packed snow. They have good traction, are quiet, and are easier to use overall than traditional snowshoes. The quality seems very good.

The studds fell out after the third use. Foot moves all around and the more you tighten the velcro the more your toes go numb. I wanted to love these.
