The set includes (3) 72 tooth quick release ratchets, allowing for rapid socket exchanges, a rachet gear that turns fasteners with a precision 5° swing arc and teardrop low profile head for improved access. Sockets in this set include come in Metric and SAE sizes all in 6 Point and 12 Point styles covering the full range of most common fasteners in shallow and deep socket sizes. Included are 12pt full polish chrome combination wrenches, covering the most common SAE & metric sizes, with high visibility stamped size markings, a professional easy to clean full polish chrome finish and meet the stringent torque ASME and ANSI torque strength requirements. Access even more fasteners with the ergonomic bit driver for superior fastening with the heavy duty S2 steel screwdriver bits covering the most common sizes in Phillips®, Slotted, Hex, Torx®, Square, Pozidriv, and Tamper-Proof Torx® bit styles, and a full range of Hex Keys coming in Long-Arm and Short-Arm styles to provide access to more hard-to- reach fasteners.     • Great all-in-one set!
This set will accomplish 99% of your needs for sockets, ratchets, screw-driving, hex wrenches and then some! It comes pre organized in a well thought out case. This is every bit and more like my previously owned set from another brand. I compared this to the other set I've had for years. The trays are laid out in a very well designed manner. The top tray holds all of the 1/4 sockets for the 1/4 ratchet in both metric and SAE with 6-point and 12-point sockets. Each one is labeled clearly and is legible included the place where it belongs in the tray. They plastic molding of the tray is also well designed with the wells deepening to hold the socket securely in place. It also steps down to allow access to grab them better (hard to explain, but if you saw it you'll know what I mean). The middle tray has both 3/8 and 1/2 standard sockets. It is also well designed with clear patterns shown that separates the different ratchet sizes. At first I didn't like this design, since I was used to my other set that had 1/2 and 3/8 sockets separated in their own trays. I appreciate now because I only need to grab one tray to have both wrenches available to use when you need the extra leverage. The bottom tray had all of the deep well sockets. I also appreciated how these were all together instead of inner mixed like my other branded set. The top locking box holds everything else. The extensions (with includes a 12" extension for BOTH 3/8 and 1/2 sizes!) the ratchet wrenches, screwdriver and heads, hex wrenches in a holder, and all the other bits I am missing. Like I stated above, for most amateurs, this is a top of the line set that will serve 99% of your needs through out your life. You don't need a large rolling toolbox, this will serve you well and takes up a heck of a lot less room. Does it have everything you will need for every job, no, but get those specialty tools when you need them. For everything else, you can't go wrong with this set. The quality is great, so many different uses and options. My only negative was giving it as a gift. My famly member loved them, I just wished I'd kept for myself lol.

    • Good Set, Not Great
Crescent is a recognized name in tools, but has experienced a slide in recent years, and while they still perform there’s lots of little omissions that keep them from being popular again. This set is a great example. On its face this 54 pound, 400+ piece set is great. It has virtually everything you need to do a lot of work while maintaining a relatively small footprint. Unfortunately the delivery leaves much to be desired. The case is made of reasonably sturdy, but still very underwhelming plastic. The drawers only sort of “slide” but mostly just kind of rest on one another. It’s telling the case has to ship with cardboard wedged everywhere to prevent pieces from spilling out. Opening the chest, the top compartment is actually a junk-drawer style catch all; no planned out placement, just two bags of miscellaneous tools jumbled together. The drawers aren’t molded to secure pieces, just to cradle them, so any movement (such as transporting the case) means jumbled pieces. Speaking of transporting, at 54 pounds with a plastic assembly, using the top lid handle was 100% a gamble and it didn’t feel particularly reassuring walking across my garage. The tools themselves are average quality with decent appearance and they’ve done a few light jobs without any problems. They aren’t perfect but at this price you won’t notice in most cases. Overall, I give this set a C+. It’s good for someone just starting out as a catch all set but it will be eclipsed eventually. The case is the most glaring problem here so I recommend keeping the tools and getting yourself a nicer metal box. ... show more

This tool set has been wonderful to have around! I've had some tools from other sets break or get old over the years, or have pieces I've misplaced, but this set took care of the problem in a fell swoop.     • so many missing pieces it's worthless!
DO NOT BUY: There are too many missing pieces to even consider this set as being worth anything. Crescent refuses to do anything about it sending me back to Amazon - who says they cannot replace it. So much for support. I can't imagine how they can say this has a LIFETIME warranty!

    • Great tools, terrible tool box
I really like the quality of the tools themselves and they are clearly well-made. They are all made of impact-resistant stainless steel. The toolbox is really where it all falls apart, because well----it falls apart quickly. Just picking it up full has caused multiple issues if the box opens. The first time opening it I broke one of the clips holding the door closed. I also dislike that the top is just a dumping area for the tools. The other drawers are nice and neat and you would assume there would be a place for the other tools, but it's just an open are where you dump the hand tools in. Pros: Wide variety of tools High-quality materials Easy to use Cons: Tollbox is not durable and does not have as many organization areas for the hand tools. ... show more

    • This Tool Box Has It All!!
This tool kit lives on my workbench and it has it all. Crescant has been around as long as I can remember and is known for good quality tools. This set has everything the home or pro-mechanic will likely need in a day of car repair. A nice collection of sockets, hex bits, and combo- and Allen wrenches. The tool box is heavy duty plastic and does the job. Good all-around tool kit at a good price. I recommend. No regrets. ... show more
