It looks very nice at a glance, though up close there are a couple of places where the design looks a little burned, and where the wood was slightly chipped. Not a huge issue for me as I don't really mind imperfections but it's still not "perfect" and something to watch for if that's important to you. I do like that you can put a picture in the front, and the poem on the top is sweet and heartwarming. Looks like it has plenty of room for the ashes, and the six pads they sent with it seem like more than enough to keep surfaces safe. ... show more

Got this for my husbands father's ashes (wife speaking here). This wooden urn is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It is well made and is the perfect size so you don't have to worry at all about it being too small for your loved one's remains. I love that it has the photo space in the front too.

The media could not be loaded. I really like this urn. It is made really well. The bottom unscrews and you pull on that little bit of ribbon to get the flap open. The frame is so nice with the etched in scroll into the wood. Painted very nicely. The picture of the flag and eagle is perfect and no flaws or rubs. The only access is through to bottom. I know that a lot of times you don’t have a lot of time to pick out a safe place for your loved one and get it there in time prior to a service that would honor them. This is a okay urn for ashes, quality is good and gold looking on the front is a nice touch. Made from very lightweight balsa wood or something similar. Craftsmanship is okay but nothing really stands out. Is large enough to hold all the ashes. Finish on surface is good with the memorial saying on top. Like the front where you can put a picture gives it some personation. you remove couple of screws from the bottom to put the ashes inside. Has some felt stickers for the bottoms so it does not scratch other surfaces. ... show more
