There are imperfections (see photo). This is not the highest quality, but it is accurate quality for the price. The color is much darker than I expected, kind of a cherry/walnut color. The wood is also very soft and delicate evident by how easy the screw slips in. The small option JUST fits the ashes of my 12 lbs cat. Overall, it’s a cute design if you need a budget friendly option.
