The Urn is made from real wood (you can smell it! I love that smell). The pictures and wording is etched into the wood nicely. The urn itself is a beautiful display box with a large capacity cabin within. The urn seems like it would be fairly sturdy and the cabin lid (hidden behind the picture plate) is attached with screws. Unfortunately, there were a few things I noticed that needs to be mentioned. First, the hinges on the picture plate were loose, which pulled my attention to them to find out why the plate was wiggling. If you look under the one hinge, you can see an extra set of holds barely covered under the hinge. The screws are all put in at different angles and they are not tightly screwed in. Three of the corners also have some defects/damage. The final issue is the plastic screen covering the picture plate was very dusty and actually had some scratches in it. I have supplies to replace the picture screen so it's not that big of an issue. It's just frustrating. I am going to keep the urn as I can fix the hinges, fill the extra holes, and fix the corners. Thankfully, the urn is a natural wood color so I have a stain on hand that will match and cover up the defects.

This is a beautiful Wooden Memorial Urn. The Urn is handmade using all nature pine wood stained in a rich walnut color. It a generous size, measuring 11” length x 7” depth and 7.9” height. The description states it is 250 cubic inches and will accommodate the remains of a person up to 250 lbs. Looking at this urn, it is evident, with each feature, that it was manufactured to high standards. The box is very high quality, durable, and should withstand the test of time. A gorgeous Tree of Life design adorns the top, accompanied by a heartfelt sentiment. The front of the urn contains a glass photo area that will hold a 4 x 6 photo of your loved one with “In Loving Memory” directly below. Intricate designs of peace doves and scroll work, along with an additional sentiment, surround the photo area. The front photo panel of the urn opens to the side to reveal a velveteen covered, double sealed, compartment for ashes. The inside of the front door also has a velveteen back panel for the photo area. Included with the urn are 8 felt pads for the bottom. The entire appearance of the urn is that of peace and tranquility. Stunning! If you are in the process of pre-arranging your final arrangements, this urn is worth taking a look at. I learned from experience that being unprepared for a loved one’s loss is so difficult on family members. The decisions that must be made in such a short time are overwhelming and stressful. I do not want my family to wonder if they made the right decisions. Therefore, I am pre-planning my own arrangements so my family will not have to deal with that side of things, and I have peace of mind knowing that. My family will have this urn, even down to the photo I want, for whenever the time is appropriate and there will be no guessing on anything. This urn would be a fitting tribute for anyone, even a beloved pet. I can give it my highest recommendation.
