This DAC is ok. It is an entry level DAC. It doesn't provide the sound quality you are looking for a true audiophile. For gaming it is better than using on board sound and the 7.1 surround is similar the Razer Kracken surround quality.

Had a little problem after installing driver and software, didn't want to recognize the DAC as sound device, after rebooting few times my PC nothing, then I decided to unplug the USB cable and plug back it start working, had no problems and work great love the quality on sound.

    • Great Product ......but don't call it portable!
I searched for this item using the phrase "portable"...... I have purchased several SB1600 Portable Headphone Amps and thought this was just a more powerful version of the same. This product is great but has to be powered by USB........so I have to carry a battery source with me to use it.

    • Improved the sound quality and volume but there are issues on switching profiles
It really improve my headphones audio quality, microphone clarity and volume. My problem is the bug when trying to switch audio profiles using the software. Switching profiles doesn't change the necessary equalizer profile.

As with all of the Creative products that I have ever had this fully meets my needs and expectations. I am using it as an external card for recording purposes and the audio is pristine and the mixer is easy to work with. This is my second external card my first was a G5 that I bought as a headphone amplifier. And I will continue to purchase Creative for my audio needs ... show more

mucha calidad y unas perfectas configuraciones de sonido en sus perfiles de juegos , creo que si la usas con unos audifonos de la misma marca podria sacar mayor potencial ..si alguine lo prueba de este modo quisiera saber ya que yo no pude adquirir audifonos de la marca gracias
