I have LOTS of rulers but this is the one I need. It is clear and has enough lines to properly measure. It is not colored, not fluorescent, has no heavy grid marks and is easy to read. It has circles on the back that make it non-slip. It costs more than other brands and it's worth it. I wish I had purchased this one first instead of the ruler collection that I have. The media could not be loaded. Ever since I got my first Creative Grids ruler I have been a fan. These rulers are so very easy to read compared to others I own that have yellow shading that I cannot see through to be certain of my accuracy before cutting. The non slip gripper spots on the back keep your cuts straight with a little pressure as you cut. Love this company. Changed my quilting & cutting to be so much more accurate. I had a quilting ruler this size, but it didn't have the "grippy-grabbers" on the bottom of the ruler and it would slip when cutting with my rotary cutter. I love the size of this ruler, and especially the "grippy-grabbers" on the bottom that cling a bit to the fabric and hold it in place quite well when cutting.
