I am 5'4 male. Not overweight but not skinny either. Kind of in the middle area with a belly lol. It fit nicely and it looks great. The belt did not fit me so thats gym motivation. Other than that the material is good and its comfortable for cosplaying.

Great quality! I am plus size at 5'5 and size 16 with DDcup and broad shoulders. This fit perfectly but I will say the white shirt is tight over my chest. Bust 55in Wait 41in Hips 51 I am a top heavy hour glass shape. For my larger beautiful plus size girls. Don't get this if you are a larger DD or more. I really wouldn't suggest over size 16/18us I wouldn't recommend for anyone over that size. A size 20 or Ecup will not be able to button this up or might rip it. And do not buy if you have big stomach or B belly

As Good As, Or Better Than Expected

I purchased the Giyū Tomioka costume to cosplay with my daughter for the Denver Fan Expo. The sizing is accurate (6'1, 245lb male, 3XL size ordered) and just barely fits, but again, accurate. The quality of the tailoring is surprisingly better than any Rubies costume I've purchased. There are seams in all places they should be and even pleats in the front of the shirt-jacket for a fitted wear. Like the other pieces, the haori is better quality than anticipated and fits true to size. The items I received actually look better than the stock photos of the item. An example of this is the shiny "silver" buttons I received (including an extra if one falls off) as opposed to the matte plastic grey buttons shown on the picture. The belt was too small so I did have to punch a hole to give myself one "size" bigger there. That said, the belt is thin @ 1.25" and just feels too uncomfortable for me to wear for a 6+ hour day. I ended up buying a real belt that will fit and feel comfortable. Since it's going to hold a katana all day, the belt is important. I will also sew belt loops into the shirt-jacket to keep it in place. Overall: 4 stars! At the $55 price point, which is what you'll pay for Rubies these days, you'll get a quality set of items that are fit for Halloween or light cosplay with the kids. Most of the items fit true to the posted sizing chart. Why not 5? - The belt size is not true to size relative to the rest of the items given the size chart. - General discomfort/cheapness of the belt. - Resulted in needing to buy a real belt. - White ankle covers are very loose. Since they are stretchy, why not make them smaller so they're just a little bit tight?

LOVED this cosplay

My cosplay fit really well, my biggest complaint about it was the size of the shoulders as they were super tight. But the color and material are great, and the clothes themselves are super soft. Would suggest not wearing this during the summer as it is a pretty heavy cosplay (especially with the layers), all and all would buy again especially without there being missing parts.

Great quality costume for the price! The sizing is way off though. I am 6’2” 195 ibs with a slightly muscular build. I typically wear 34x34 jeans and a men’s large shirt. I ordered the XL in this costume first and it was so small. I returned it and got 3XL and it fit perfect! The pants, shirt, leg wraps and belt are really nice, but the haori is nothing to write home about. It’s thin and all white in the inside which kind of messes with the look when it opens up. Also, idk why but the sleeves of the haori have a weird shape to mimic a flowing effect. I get it, but it could have been achieved better another way I’m sure. All that being said, the haori works well for now, but I can use the base outfit and add better/different haoris in the future. Love it and would get again.

Not plus size friendly

So I'm a big girl. big bust, big thighs, big hips, big arms, but I recently had weight loss surgery and was able to shrink down a lot. When I saw this cosplay had a 3x I wanted to try as it's my first time buying a cosplay. The pants are a little tight but they stretch if you're able to get them above your thighs, still a little tight around the bottom. The shirt was a no go, bust was too big but it could work as a jacket. The yellow haori is tight, but fits. The arm measurements were a bit off but I'll be able to wear it to the con. The socks do fit, but we're a little tricky to get on. All in all, I wouldn't recommend if you have big hips or a big bust, but for the price it's decent. I'll keep it around so hopefully when I lose more weight I can fit better into it

MITSURI!! I fell hard in love with the costume!!! I’m 5’6” and 175 got Large - sure some places here and there were loose, some tight, but for not being as chesty and more trunk. It was amazing! I would suggest getting a black waist trainer, or even something to hold the curves in (if really needed)I realized they really try to have the costume measurements as CLOSE as possible to the anime characters physique 💁♀️ The socks don’t have the real type of socks needed, so best to buy others, or do not to try and pull them too high if you got some love curves (like me) but it’s all for show and it looks nice. Not like anyone going out to fight for real, so not worried about the little details.🩷😉👍
