I used these to decorate a wall in my bedroom. They do have a strong smell when taking them out of the package so I washed them in the bathtub with a little laundry detergent. I did this before taking the ties off which made it super easy and then hung them to dry. That took the smell right now and they were ready to use in an hour. I used thumbtacks to put them up but am going to go through later with some clay and stick them to the wall. I found the tacks were easiest for changing the configuration around. My only complaint about them is that there are parts that you can tell they melted smaller strands together to make them 7ft and that leaves residual plastic. You can’t see it from far away but when you look close you can see it.

These are beautiful, but you will definitely want to hang them outside for several hours when they first arrive. The odor that comes of of them is like a very strong chemical smell, and it is definitely overwhelming.

Great for or use around Koi pond. I used it to cover an unsightly pond filter. Worked perfectly. The green color tends to fade after 1 season; but even real ivy can fade. it still blends in perfectly.
