The fitted sheet has a lot of extra space whereas the flat sheet can barely cover the bed without one side being shorter. It makes it easy for the sheet to come off in my sleep ... show more

Once you make your bed a few times you find a good rhythm to keeping the sheets in place and the comforter from sliding off.
